With this, the eight likable musicians from the Ruhr area have been putting a big grin on the faces of the audience at every concert since the band's founding in 2005. The audience and the press agree: The entertaining shows with a powerful brass sound – consisting of trumpet, trombone, and saxophone – are celebrated hard and promise a wonderful mix of a colorful party both on and in front of the stage. With incredible energy and good vibes, the AWESOME SCAMPIS address everyday topics in their lyrics, including love and friendships – but serious themes such as depression or current political situations also find their way in. All of this always comes with a wink and self-irony. And above all: catchy, infectious, and danceable.
Since their founding in 2005, the band has completed countless live shows both domestically and internationally. They played on festival and club stages alongside music greats and supported bands like Sondaschule, Russkaja, Montreal, or Rantanplan. But international acts like Mad Caddies, Jaya the Cat, or Buster Shuffle and many more have also supported them in the opening act. Especially since their shows at Eselrock (Wesel), Juicy Beats (Dortmund), or as regular guests at Rock am Beckenrand (Wolfshagen im Harz), the AWESOME SCAMPIS have become a name known to visitors of larger festivals.
The third studio album "Zeit für Plan B" will be released on May 31, 2024.

FLORIAN HUBER - Sharks, Shipwrecks and Water Dragons

Florian "Dr. Floh" Huber, raised in Lenggries, is an underwater archaeologist, research diver, and adventurer. There is infinitely much to discover underwater, and Dr. Floh takes you on his adventurous dives around the globe! Did you know that there are probably three million shipwrecks lying on the ocean floor? What tricks do research divers use to find these old wrecks - and how do they actually work down there? Are sharks dangerous? Where do the mysterious water dragons hide? What superpowers do deep-sea jellyfish and colorful sea slugs have? What does it feel like to sit in a submarine at over 1000 meters depth? What are giant sloths doing in Mexican caves and how deep is the Titanic actually? All this - and much more - Dr. Floh answers in his exciting lecture for children aged 8 and over (and of course for the parents as well).
By the way: Dr. Floh has already written seven WAS IST WAS children's books, is often seen on television, for example on Terra X. And he taught Checker Tobi how to dive and showed him that the greatest adventures sometimes begin where you can barely see them: deep down in the sea. Are you ready for your underwater adventure?
