A woman has killed a man in self-defense. Apparently. Behavioral psychologist Marlene Nielson doesn't buy this from the perpetrator, even if everything points to it. A thriller about two women who go to the extreme.

Anne Keßel is a writer, screenwriter, and audio play author. She is an alumna of the University of Cologne and the University of Television and Film Munich. Her latest works include "Gefährliche Gischt" and "Tödliche Strömung". Her most recent play, a fairy tale parody titled "Es war einmal anders", was successfully performed in Rheinbach in February and March 2026.

In conversation with moderator Christel Engeland, Anne Keßel presents her new thriller and reads selected passages. At the end of the event, there is an opportunity to have the author's books signed and to engage in conversation with her.

Lesung: Friedenstüchtig werden - Überredung zum Pazfismus

The attempt to become "war-capable" again and the return of war thinking and warfare is alarming for many people. Creating peace – that can only be done with weapons, it is proclaimed. Wigbert Tocha clearly contradicts the Masters of War. He shows that pacifists have the better arguments, especially in the 21st century. Drawing on a great tradition that includes the Sermon on the Mount and the names Kant, Einstein, and Gandhi provides a philosophical and ethical deepening from which highly relevant insights for the present emerge.

The author reads from his book. The musical accompaniment is provided by the jazz duo ImPuls with Dieter Krause on double bass and Magnus Schmerfeld on piano.

Ingmar Stadelmann - Stadelmann liest Höcke – ein satirischer Diskurs

Ingmar Stadelmann, a celebrated stand-up comedian, dissected broadly societal phenomena in his previous stage programs (including “#humorphob”, “Fressefreiheit”, “Verschissmus”, and “Komm ihr klar?”). Now he focuses on a controversial figure who tramples through the political landscape: Björn Uwe Höcke.

With his satirical discourse, Stadelmann entirely dedicates himself to the bizarre upheavals and promises, the words and the career of the AfD leader from Thuringia. Amidst societal explosions, many remain speechless in shock or indifference. However, some polish themselves up to seize the moment. The wolf in sheep's clothing now wears a suit. Once a trusted teacher, Björn Höcke is striving for national front-line instruction. But even a wolf sometimes finds its hunter. Here, the populist meets the satirist.

Ingmar Stadelmann, known as the “Master of the Evil Word” and a virtuoso stand-up comedian, examines in this satirical discourse the insidious “lesson preparations” of the Thuringian AfD chief, of whom many say he is the true head of the party, in more detail. Stadelmann takes the queer-colored red pen and dissects published conversations and public speeches by Höcke in book form. What is actually so right-wing extremist about Mr. Höcke? After all, he doesn't use the N-word on television, knows how to articulate himself reasonably well, and has a neat parting. What content is there when the punchline is not “Bernd”? It’s these obviously fascistic and nationalist ideas that the average German hasn’t heard for 70 years. Or has ignored. Ingmar Stadelmann does this true to the motto: Antifascism can also be fun! Let’s free ourselves from leftist moral elevation for this evening and indulge in politically incorrect punchlines until the Basic Law glows.

Is Stadelmann about educating? Converting? No. Those who are no longer reachable are no longer reachable. No punchline. But for those who watch the whole thing speechless … whether out of indifference or shock, this show is for them! Humorously dissolving what is deemed unbearable. After this show, everyone will have enough arguments. So, in the end, no one can say: “We knew nothing!”

The World History of Lies
On average, a person lies 200 times a day. The lie is the glue of world history. The documents that established the Papal States and made Hamburg a Hanseatic city – forged! Perhaps even half of the Middle Ages is a fabrication... And then the 19th century – the great age of impostors! They sold the Eiffel Tower and the city of London in parts. Not to mention that in the 20th century no one had the intention of building a wall in Berlin, or had a “sexual relation with that woman”.
After the overwhelming success of their reading in honor of Roger Willemsen and Dieter Hildebrandt at the St. Pauli Theater in Hamburg, Walter Sittler (Hildebrandt) and Johann von Bülow (Willemsen) search for the truth about the lie at the Lÿz. They throw around scandalous falsehoods and insidious intrigues with abandon. Much to the entertainment of the audience, who may leave this evening a bit poorer in illusions.
