Mira Fuchs ist eine Expertin. Eine Expertin des Private Dancing. Als öffentliche Persona der Choreografin und Künstlerin Melanie Jame Wolf verkörpert MIRA FUCHS ihre 8-jährige Erfahrung als Stripperin in einem der größten Clubs in Melbourne. Nach der Uraufführung bei den Tanztagen Berlin 2015 feiert die Performance in diesem Jahr ihr zehnjähriges Jubiläum. Das Publikum wird tänzerisch durch die Fragen und Widersprüche des Strippens als Arbeit geführt. Dabei nutzt MIRA FUCHS das spezifische Vokabular dieser umfassenden körperlichen Praxis und untersucht Ideen rund um Gender, Sexualität, Lust, Begehren, performative Intimität, das Altern und Performance als Lohnarbeit.

Mira Fuchs is an expert. An expert private dancer. She is the public face of choreographer and visual artist Melanie Jame Wolf’s 8-year private life working as a stripper in one of the largest clubs in Melbourne. Following its premiere at Tanztage Berlin 2015, the performance is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Audiences will be danced through the questions and contradictions of stripping as work. MIRA FUCHS draws on the specific vocabularies of this extended bodily practice and seeks to explore ideas around gender, sexuality, pleasure, performative intimacy, aging, and performance as labour.
