Last year a total success with us! The Zac Schulze Gang attracted audiences even beyond the borders of our region. With a bit of luck, we managed to secure another date with them for 2026.
After the breakthrough of their debut album Straight To It, the Zac Schulze Gang quickly became one of the most exciting young rock bands in the UK. After they sold out their biggest London headline concert at The Garage, as well as sold-out shows in the UK and Europe, the Kent trio continues to build a reputation for their explosive, energy-fueled live performances. With a major UK tour planned for November and early 2027—including their biggest headline concert to date at Islington Assembly Hall—the band is now launching the next chapter with their new single "Hellhounds On My Trail." Recorded live at Really BIG Audio with longtime producer Ian Sadler, the track captures the raw, unvarnished intensity that has become the band's hallmark. The release coincides with a significant US support tour as the opening act for Tab Benoit.
Led by guitarist and singer Zac Schulze, along with drummer Ben Schulze and bassist Ant Greenwell, the trio blends blues, punk energy, and classic rock swagger into a powerful modern sound. Inspired by artists like Rory Gallagher and Dr. Feelgood, the band channels the spirit of classic blues-rock through a contemporary perspective shaped by years on the British and European DIY circuit.
Founded in Gillingham, Kent, the Zac Schulze Gang broke through after a celebrated performance at the Rory Gallagher Tribute Festival 2022 and quickly established themselves as one of the hardest-working young bands in the scene, playing over 250 shows a year. Since then, they have extensively toured Europe and the UK, performed at the Crossroads Guitar Festival under Eric Clapton, and shared the stage with artists like Samantha Fish and Eddie 9V.
The band won the Best Emerging Blues Band award at the 2024 UK Blues Awards, followed by Young Artist of the Year in 2025. With releases like Made of Three and Live and Loud continuing to gain momentum, "Hellhounds On My Trail" showcases the Zac Schulze Gang on their way to breaking far beyond the British blues scene.
The Zac Schulze Gang continues to build momentum with a series of acclaimed releases and growing radio support. Their single "I Won't Do This Anymore" spent eight weeks on the A-List of Planet Rock Radio and was named Track of the Week by Classic Rock Magazine, while the follow-up single "The Rocker" also received significant airplay on Planet Rock Radio. Critical acclaim followed the band’s rapid rise, with Classic Rock Magazine describing them as "armed with buoyant, 70s-inspired blues rock with some enticing twists and a rough Rory Gallagher-like edge," while Blues Matters called them "destined for blues-rock glory." Vintage Guitar praised their "kick-ass rock with good lyrics" and added that "their vibe is too loud to pigeonhole." Blues Rock Review highlighted their ability to "combine high-voltage energy with deep respect for tradition," while Tinnitust described the trio as "raw, blues-infused rock 'n' roll without frills" and "wild, dynamic, and very much in the here and now." Rock & Blues Muse stated that the band "delivers the kind of blues-infused rock 'n' roll that grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go," while Sonic Abuse praised Zac Schulze for "wringing his guitar like a man possessed."
Driven by relentless touring, explosive live shows, and a rapidly growing international fan base, the Zac Schulze Gang is storming into their biggest year yet.
