Las Migas
2025 and 2022 Latin Grammy for Best Flamenco Album
2020 Independent Music Award (MIN) for Best Flamenco Album
In Flamenco, women usually play the role of dancers, and they rarely set the tone. However, Flamenco can be so feminine. Las Migas are the proof. With Paula Ramíres, Marta Robles, Alicia Grillo, and Laura Pacios, the group is mainly composed of women. Yet, that alone is not what makes their Flamenco sound so fresh and avant-garde.
Las Migas are inspired by traditional Flamenco but go beyond its language. The musicians, living in Barcelona and hailing from Andalusia and Catalonia, bring two guitars, a violin, a Cajón, extraordinary voices, and their collected experiences into the music. Marta and Alicia come from Flamenco and classical guitar backgrounds, Laura plays violin and sings, and Paula is the lead singer.
Las Migas captivate and are well-received guests on the most prestigious stages in Spain as well as at festivals around the world. With over 20 years of stage experience and six studio albums, they are among the most internationally celebrated and well-known Spanish bands. They have performed in over 50 countries, including the USA, India, France, Egypt, Mexico, Cuba, Italy, Namibia, Jamaica, Algeria, Hong Kong, Germany, Chile, Sweden, Ukraine, and Morocco. They have been nominated three times for the Latin Grammy Award in the “Best Flamenco Album” category (2016, 2022, and 2024) and won the award in 2022 and 2025. Additionally, they received the prestigious MIN Award in 2019 and 2023 for their albums “Rumberas” and “Libres,” respectively. Their current album “Flamencas” is a tribute to the essence and purity of Flamenco. In this work, the band continues to develop their sound, underscored by a powerful visual identity that was already showcased in the video for “Celos,” directed by the renowned fashion photographer Javier Biosca. After an intensive 2024 tour with over 25 concerts in the USA and Canada, the band continues their passion for Flamenco fusion on their upcoming world tour in 2026. Highlights include performances at legendary concert halls like the Palau de la Música Catalana, the prestigious Barcelona Jazz Festival, and the Gran Teatro Príncipe Pío in Madrid, as well as new stops in the UK, Turkey, Congo, Switzerland, Bulgaria, and Tunisia. Throughout their career, Las Migas have collaborated with a variety of celebrated artists such as Estrella Morente, Viva Suecia, Rozalén, El Kanka, Kevin Johansen, Tomatito, Miguel Poveda, María Peláe, Raül Refree, Josemi Carmona, and Loli Molina. These collaborations reflect the immense musicality and versatility of this unstoppable women’s band, which has over 850,000 followers on Instagram.
