MITMACHAKTION: Frida malt Freude - Lesung
Come by for the reading and participation event for the children's book "Frida malt Freude" on August 6, 2026, August 13, 2026, and August 14, 2026, at your Hugendubel bookstore in Würzburg!
This lovingly designed children's book encourages children to let their imagination run free and to artistically express their feelings. Colors can be wild, shapes and lines can dance - because art is exactly that: a space where every child can be who they are. In the subsequent workshop, the author invites children to get creative themselves. Through simple projects, children will be playfully introduced to their feelings and their own art.
Information about the book:
This lovingly designed children's book encourages children to let their imagination run free and to artistically express their feelings. Frida discovers a magical studio, where the artist dog Carlo shows her that there is no "right" or "wrong" in painting. Colors can be wild, shapes and lines can dance – because art is exactly that: a space where every child can be who they are. In the second part, the book invites readers to become creative themselves. The author and communication designer Julia Heinrich has compiled a colorful collection of craft and painting ideas, which have been carefully selected and practically tested with children. This results in simple projects that introduce children playfully to their feelings and their own art. All ideas can be implemented with just a few materials and are perfect for home, the classroom, or educational work.
Information about the author:
Julia Heinrich has been a communication designer and illustrator in Würzburg since 2008. In her own workshop "mit Herz und Heinrich" in Zellerau, her illustrations, books, and many lovingly crafted products are created with much love. She also delights children and adults with numerous creative workshops there. With her first own children's book, she is now fulfilling a very special dream and invites small and large listeners on a fantastical, emotional, and creative journey.
After the reading, each workshop can accommodate 8 children who will implement a project from the magical studio and take it home.
