RUND-Travels – the SOLO Tour 2026
It goes RUND: STOPPOK has a birthday and is celebrating on the stages of the country
Traveling educates. This “RUND-Travel” even more so. STOPPOK, the witty seismograph of our country, is celebrating a milestone birthday in 2026, turning 70. That is too beautiful not to be celebrated. On a “RUND-Travel” through the republic, on the live stages of the country. Since time immemorial, STOPPOK's emotional territory and natural habitat.
So let’s dive into the celebration tours with edges and corners, with heart and brain, with a new album and old friends. The text-song-guitar icon presents himself in the most relaxed birthday mood. He is and remains the showcase model of an entire guild: For 50 years, STOPPOK has been traveling as a unique live phenomenon of vital songwriting art from the fresh produce section, as an independent spirit “on solid ground,” who decided early between “money or life,” as an outstanding lyricist full of wordplay, wisdom, and pointed poetry. There can be no talk of diminishing power and ideas. One indication: The last two albums, “Jubel” and “Teufelsküche,” landed in the top five of the Media Control charts.
STOPPOK is a singer and musician, highly appreciated by renowned colleagues, who combines loose chatter with stunning craftsmanship (he masters his string instruments with a highly personal touch). In recent years, he has been complemented by original footwork, as he underpins his sound rooted in folk, blues, and rock with rhythmic dynamism using a foot machine.
Therefore, STOPPOK can also afford to go on tour solo, as he is a performer, musician, and storyteller on his own. His acoustic concerts are thus legendary, for the artist himself “pure freedom.” In December, the solo version of the “RUND-Travel” is scheduled through mostly seated venues. Fitting to a new song from the album to be released for the tour: “The longer we walk together, the better we'll understand each other.”
STOPPOK stays on it, persistent, joyful, whimsical. He surprises us with special live evenings, where spontaneity, mockery, and soul massage triumph. Nothing settles for seventy. What luck!
