Young Michael Jackson (Juliano Krue Valdi) is drilled early for a music career as the eighth of ten children under the strict guidance of his father Joe (Colman Domingo). With the family band Jackson Five, he celebrates early successes, and at the age of 13, he already starts his solo career. Even as an adult (Jaafar Jackson), his life is dominated by music. In the late 1970s, he meets Diana Ross (Kat Graham) and producer Quincy Jones (Kendrick Sampson) during film work, which fundamentally changes his musical direction. This title of Jochen Malmsheimer's current program goes back to Simon Bolivar, who, if you believe the internet – and too many do these days – lived for a long time with Jean Paul Sartre. Or it may have been Simone Signoret who lived with Sartre. Or Sartre lived alone, constantly in the boudoir.

Perhaps Sartre lived with no one at all, except perhaps with a Beaujolais and some jetons. Gitanes. Who can say? And, above all, why? In this although tomorrow-emptying, but evening-filling program, neither eland antelopes nor bromeliads or other sweet grasses appear, because they are justifiably strictly protected. Daphne de Luxe presents a concept of comedy, cabaret, live singing, and close interaction with the audience in her five programs, which she tours simultaneously. Situational comedy, improvisational talent, and the tackling of current social issues make each of her performances unique.

Sharp-tongued, life-affirming, and occasionally a bit ambiguous, the "Comedy Valkyrie" chats about her perspective and subtly proves that one doesn't have to wear a size 36 to be appealing.

The native of Upper Franconia is a recipient of the Franconian Cabaret Prize and already impressed the youth jury of the St. Ingberter Pfanne in 2016 with her unique mix of stylish performances, amusing entertainment, playful self-irony, and unconditional authenticity. Since 2019, Daphne de Luxe has been alternating with her colleague Lisa Feller to host the legendary cabaret show "Ladies Night" on Das Erste. She will be on stage for the first time at the 3satFestival in 2024 and will appear again on "Alfons und Gäste."

About Gregor Meyle

Many got to know Gregor Meyle only since the first season of "Sing meinen Song – Das Tauschkonzert," but he has earned his loyal fan base through hundreds of live performances in clubs, community halls, and on large open-air stages. He also made it to the final show as a dragon on "The Masked Singer." For his studio albums "New York-Stintino" and "Meile für Meyle" on his own label Meylemusic, he receives gold awards.
