Gankino Circus
What the Franconian is for Bavaria, that is the Finn for Europe: an exotic from the north, taciturn, quirky – and yet somehow lovable. It’s no wonder that the group Gankino Circus from West Middle Franconia feels a magnetic attraction to Finland. And so, the band bus is quickly packed, and the four exceptional artists set off.
For the Finns, Gankino Circus's program, which combines waders, Schuhplattler, and a filter coffee machine on stage as the world's first cultural spectacle. Join the musicians on their road trip, find out why Finns rarely change their shirts, what that has to do with the mysterious washbasins on stage, what magical powers lie in the brought red canoe, and how Gankino Circus comes to the secret of Finnish calmness. Contemporary folk music, anarchic playfulness, and clever wordplay merge into a unique melange.
