DR.POP - Hitverdächtig – Die Musik-Comedy-Stand-Up-Show
Music Comedy Stand-Up Show: Dr. Pop „Hitverdächtig”
Monday, November 16, 2026, 8:00 PM
Can one seriously earn a doctorate in pop music? Yes! And what does one do with it? Comedy and cabaret. Dr. Pop is a doctor for the musical. He is established in radio, TV, online, and on stage. In his live program “Hitverdächtig,” he provides therapy with music samples and curious, yet completely true music facts. Did you know that termites eat wood twice as fast when they listen to heavy metal? Or that there is the Barry White effect in evolutionary theory? The deeper the male's voice, the greater the chances of mating. This applies to both humans and koalas.
In “Hitverdächtig,” music plays that can save a party, a relationship, or the motivation for sports or cleaning the house. Whether it’s pop, rock, classical, hits, jazz, hip-hop, or rap: Dr. Pop fires familiar, but also unknown samples from music history. And by the end of the show, everyone in the audience knows how to enrich their own life with music a little more.
The program is constantly updated with current songs and new scientific studies, every night is different – only the title and host remain. Hitverdächtig – The music comedy stand-up show for everyone who loves music or wants to start with it.

Press voices:
“Dr. Pop is the inventor of pop cabaret” (Kölner Stadtanzeiger)
“As a great enrichment of the evening, Markus Henrik shows yet again, who as Dr. Pop is now filling the larger comedy halls of the country. With the help of a mysterious control box full of colorful buttons, he plays short films and music snippets and finds targets in gangster rapper Capital Bra and folk rocker Andreas Gabalier that can be thoroughly mocked.” (WAZ)
“Anyone who can transform Donna Summer into a Schuhplattler must have obtained higher academic degrees musically. For the comedian who goes by Dr. Pop, this is indeed the case, which is why his numbers are equally smart and funny.” (Westdeutsche Zeitung)
“Going to this consultation is a pleasure: Dr. Pop!” (WZ, Düsseldorf)
“Dr. Pop is a master at reworking pop songs.” (Deutsche Welle)

“The doctorate in musicology rocked the stage. Dr. Pop addresses life-saving, or rather: the musical accompaniment of a heart massage. “Stayin’ Alive” is suitable, as it has the right rhythm. “Time to say goodbye” on the other hand, is not so advisable. The highlight is Dr. Pop’s hip-hop song “We have Wi-Fi outage, and that’s already the tenth time this week.” He rapped from the heart to the suffering audience regarding this matter.” (NRZ)
“You can only like Dr. Pop; he is the best artist I have seen in a long time!!! Incredibly authentic and very entertaining :)” (Eventim fan report, March 1, 2023)
