Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel - Der Originalfilm mit Live-Orchester
We are very pleased to present "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel - Der Originalfilm mit Liveorchester" once again after the great success in December 2025!
For some, roasted almonds are an essential part of the Christmas season, while for others, it must be hazelnuts – and exactly three of them. Fairy tale fans are likely to have their eyes sparkling as these nuts are the three most important magical tools in one of the most beautiful fairy tale films worldwide. For over 50 years, the fairy tale heroine has dreamily ridden on her white horse Nikolaus through snowy landscapes to the well-known theme song, delighting generations of viewers. Aschenbrödel takes her fate into her own hands, fights for great happiness, and shows the prince right at their first encounter in the forest where to go.
Stubborn and with a heart in the right place – this is what characterizes the film to this day. Since its first broadcast in 1973, this lighthearted film fairy tale, with its snowy backdrop and winter-romantic atmosphere, has become an indispensable part of the Christmas program. This cinematic Christmas miracle is due to curious circumstances: the original script envisioned Aschenbrödel running across "blooming meadows"; however, since the film studios of the Czech-German co-production were already booked for summer, director Václav Vorlícek simply moved the story to winter.
Once again, the beautiful Aschenbrödel and her prince will enjoy a very special stage: For several years now, "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel" has regularly filled concert halls in the German-speaking region during the Christmas season, turning their stages into the setting of the enchanting love story. While the fairy tale film unfolds on a large screen, the film score by Karel Svoboda is performed live by a large symphony orchestra and synchronized with the romantic and humorous adventures.
