Sisters of Comedy - Nachgelacht
In times when we must once again discuss women's rights and freedom of expression, as the winds from the right blow sharper worldwide and a very conservative image of women is being newly propagated even in Western cultures, the female comedians take the offensive!
"Sisters of Comedy - Nachgelacht" is a benefit event that has been taking place annually since 2018 on many different stages in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, featuring different female artists from the German-speaking comedy, cabaret, and slam scenes. Each show donates a portion of the ticket sales to local women's aid projects and simultaneously sends a message against sexism and for equality.
Sisters of Comedy will take place for the 5th time in Goslar at the Kulturkraftwerk Harz Energie. The patron for 2024 is Lina Lärche, who comes from Berlin and brings vibrant color to the evening. The press says about her: “Lina Lärche is a full-blooded entertainer. She impresses with her quick wit, can sing, yodel, chatter, Saxon dialect, beatbox, and engage the audience." As well as "With much wit and irony, Lina Lärche presented herself as a versatile paragon of diversity and enchanted with her powerful voice across different music genres."
Joining as guests: Felice, singer-songwriter, writes, composes, arranges, and produces her music herself. The artist with the soulful ballad voice captivates her audience with her honest and likable nature. She shares her thoughts and feelings honestly and directly, striking right at the heart. Listening to her words and her powerful voice is an experience. She enchants and enthralls the audience with her wonderful soul voice. She has been part of the small arts scene for several years as a duo "Felice & Cortes."
The 37-year-old stage poet Katja Hofmann, a poetry slammer and moderator, lives in Halle an der Saale, where she organizes and moderates the literature series "Wörterspeise" and "Poet*innen gegen Sänger*innen." Since early 2009, however, she mainly travels successfully to poetry slam stages across Germany and neighboring countries, winning the hearts of her audience with her impetuous, charmingly cheeky persona.
Also joining is Jacinta Nandi. Born in East London in 1980, she moved to Germany at the age of twenty. She lives in Berlin, writes and reads in English and German, is a single parent, columnist, book author, performance artist, and since January 2024, a member of the family trio of the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
