In seinem neuesten Stück nähert sich der Choreograph Cédric Cherdel der Idee des choreographischen Dokumentierens an, indem er den Performer in direktem Austausch mit dem Publikum zu Wort kommen lässt. Der junge Performer, der sich Daniel nennt, stammt aus Afghanistan, lebt in Frankreich, ist vierundzwanzig Jahre alt und will Schauspieler werden. Durch Experimentieren mit dem Format der One-Man-Show und in Dialog mit dem Musiker Rezai Abdullah entsteht ein choreographisches Selbst-Portrait, das unverhohlen offen Zeugenschaft ablegt über Sehnsüchte, Enttäuschungen, Pläne und Zukunftsvisionen. Daniel begibt sich auf die Suche nach einer Umgebung, die es ihm erlaubt, sich zu offenbaren, sich zu zeigen, die Richtung geben kann und die in die Zukunft weist.
Das Stück will Räume schaffen, um darüber nachzudenken zu können, was uns antreibt, wo unsere Verantwortungen liegen, für uns selbst und für andere, was uns bewegt und was uns entscheiden lässt.

In his latest piece, choreographer Cédric Cherdel approaches the idea of choreographic documentation by providing a forum for the performer to speak directly to the audience. The young afghan performer, who calls himself Daniel, lives in France, is twenty-four years old and wants to become an actor. By experimenting with the format of the One-Man-Show and supported by the musician Rezai Abdullah he creates a choreographic self-portrait that openly bears witness to longings, disappointments, plans and visions for the future. Daniel embarks on a search for an environment that allows him to reveal himself, to show himself, that can give direction and that points to the future.
The performance aims to create space to think about what drives us, where our responsibilities lie, for ourselves and for others, what moves us and what makes us decide.
