Lavinia Mancusi Duo (Italy)
Powerful Voice from the Tiber
Lavinia Mancusi: Vocals, Guitar, Violin, Frame Drum, Mauro Menegazzi: Accordion
Lavinia Mancusi is considered one of the strongest and most distinctive voices in the contemporary Italian music scene. As a leading interpreter of Italian folk traditions and Roman music, she captivates with a magnetic stage presence, contagious energy, and profound expressiveness. Since 2019, the young Roman singer and multi-instrumentalist has been awarded numerous prizes and has collaborated with renowned artists such as Lucilla Galeazzi, Eugenio Bennato, and Daniele Sepe. In 2020, she wrote and staged "Revolucionaria!", a musical dedicated to the lives and struggles of great South American female singers and songwriters such as Violeta Parra, Mercedes Sosa, and Chavela Vargas. In 2024, she released her third solo album "A cruda voz" - a sensitive, poetic reflection on the various phases of the life cycle and life on the Tiber.
