What chaos it was, what a fantastic
mess, when the Rhythmus Boys first
took the concert stage thirty years ago and unleashed a storm of
enthusiasm and total confusion!
None of the four mastered their instrument, but wit,
cultivated lack of discipline, and excellent looks
compensated for all musical deficiencies.
That has changed over the years. By now, the gentlemen sing
and play far better than they look; from
lack of discipline has emerged madness and cheerful chaos,
and thus an evening with the Rhythmus Boys
resembles the last tumultuous concert in a dilapidated,
demolition-approved variety theater.
“Tohuwabohu!” symbolically represents the long,
successful journey that Ulrich Tukur and the Rhythmus
Boys have traveled, making them unique in the history of
popular music. What would life be

understood for nearly a lifetime how to transform

After the change in guitar, the freshly
formed band is preparing for the new program “Tohuwabohu!”
Ulrich Mayer will retire after 30 years together,
Hardy Kayser will be his worthy successor - on to new feats!

Günter Märtens (double bass, vocals, dance),
and Kalle Mews (drums, vocals, sounds)
