Visiting Gschwend: the violinist Linus Roth with his Stradivari. In duo with the guitarist Anabel Montesinos, he will present a wide range of Spanish sounds this time.

After his celebrated performance at the musikwinter in November 2024, violinist Linus Roth returns to Gschwend as a soloist and artistic focus of a special chamber concert. Together with Spanish guitarist Anabel Montesinos, he dedicates himself to a program that shines a light on the sound world of Spain in its diverse facets.
Works by Manuel de Falla, Enrique Granados, Isaac Albéniz, Francisco Tárrega, Luigi Boccherini, and Pablo de Sarasate will be performed. Folk-like melodies and dance rhythms combine in virtuosic brilliance to create a colorful panorama of Spanish music. Among the pieces to be heard are de Falla's Siete canciones populares españolas, Granados' Danzas españolas, Tárrega's famous Recuerdos de la Alhambra, as well as Sarasate's tempestuous Danses espagnoles and the virtuosic Carmen Fantasy.
Several arrangements have been made by guitarist Petrit Çeku, with whom Linus Roth recently performed at the musikwinter. Linus Roth himself has adapted Boccherini's famous "Fandango Quintet" for this chamber music formation. He plays the Stradivari violin "Dancla" from 1703, an instrument of exceptional sonic brilliance. So let us be transported to Southern European realms this winter in the Ostalb.
