JazzTime Böblingen 2026
The Jo Ambros Revolution Trio presents songs and texts about outrage and anger - and about the hope for change, together with the actor Klaus Hemmerle. With the concert in the Böblinger Zehntscheuer, the musicians return to an important place for them. The exhibition "The Last Supper" by Gérard Krimmel was the inspiration for the founding of the trio, and their first music videos were created for and in the exhibition "5vor!".
Klaus Hemmerle, born in 1960, actor and director, lives in Zurich. Trained at the Zurich Academy of Drama, his first engagement as an actor was at the Schauspielhaus in Zurich. His acting years have taken him further to the theater of the city of Heidelberg, the Hersfeld Festival, and the Württemberg State Theater in Stuttgart. Since 1990, he has directed his first works; since 2004, he has been a freelance director with over 75 productions for theaters and opera houses in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. He also works as a speaker for SWR in features and radio plays, and since 1999, he has been teaching at HMDK Stuttgart. His special passion belongs to language and music, regularly realizing readings with musicians of all genres in this field.
Guitarist Jo Ambros, born in 1973 and raised in Böblingen, can be heard on jazz albums (Black Project, frimfram collective, Jazz Ensemble Baden-Württemberg) as well as on songwriter and pop productions (Max & Laura Braun, Laura López Castro, Ron Spielman). He collaborated with the singer Helen Schneider for nearly 20 years, accompanies the entertainers Pigor & Eichhorn, toured with the hip-hop group Freundeskreis, and performed with the Pointer Sisters, Les McCann, and Katie Melua. He was also in the studio with Cat Stevens. His music can be heard in radio play and theater productions (WDR, NDR, Deutschlandradio, Theater Salzburg, Lübeck). Most recently, he released the albums Bread and Roses (2020), How many times (2022), and Trotz alledem (2025) with instrumental arrangements of labor songs and zuMUTung (2023) with musical settings of texts by Paul Schobel.
Dieter Fischer, born in 1963, began playing the guitar at the age of 10. From 1991 to 1996, he studied at the Stuttgart University of Music with a focus on guitar, graduating with a diploma. From 1996 to 1998, he played in the musical orchestra "Miss Saigon" in Stuttgart. In addition to his teaching at the municipal music school in Ostfildern, he received numerous engagements as a guitarist in the fields of jazz and popular music, as well as entertainment and theater music at the Stuttgart State Theater and LLT Tübingen, and in the show band of Georg Preusse, also known as "Mary" (Mary & Gordy). It wasn't until 2014 that he switched from guitar to bass.
Drummer Johann Polzer, born in 1987, has been working as a freelance musician since 2011 at well-known theaters such as the Stuttgart State Theater and Theater RAMPE in Stuttgart. This was followed by numerous album productions in Germany and abroad, including Idris Ackamoor "An Angel Fell", BRTHR "Different Kind of Light", Paul Armfield "Domestic", and BRTHR "Hightimes for Loners". His artistic activity extends over national as well as international appearances in Israel and Japan, Great Britain, Ireland, and the USA.
