lautLOS1.6. two autobiographically inspired monologues against the disappearance of memory and the power of forgetting. An atmosphere of documentary material, memories, animations by Anna Mahendra, and a stage object by miegL. A space of deconstruction and reconstruction of different life paths and the theme of silence.

Silvia Ehnis Perez Duarte (D/Mex) Raised in Mexico, Silvia Ehnis has lived in Germany since 2012. Her family from the Stuttgart area emigrated before World War I, returned briefly during the Weimar Republic, and then permanently settled in Mexico. What traces remain when a life continues on another continent? "My great-grandfathers Hans Duhne and Eugen Ehnis emigrated to Mexico a hundred years ago and settled in the German community. The Nazi regime was only experienced by the families from a distance, and their connection to Germany faded." Conversations with her family reveal a complex cultural heritage and connect with Ilona Pászthy's confrontation with "perpetrators and followers."

Ilona Pászthy (D/HU) What are the invisible traces of the past in my life? How can I trace the invisibly epigenetically inscribed memories in my DNA and their significance for my identity? Feelings as a possible access to the deeply hidden truth, which seems to have disappeared.
For several years, I have been researching the unresolved spaces of my family history. I searched for a connection between my personal experiences and the life story of my ancestors during the Nazi era. Images of my childhood stood in contrast to fragments of information. In the solo, I metaphorically approach the blind spots of my memory, imprecise aspects, ask questions about identity, complicity, and perpetration, origins, and epigenetic traces.

For this purpose, artist miegL has developed a semi-circular, white object that appears like a glowing spatial element in which texts and images are stored. Premiere: Doppelt Leben hält besser

The Neuberin Ensemble is taking on the turbulent comedy full of lies, misunderstandings, and fast pace by Ray Cooney this autumn: Doppelt leben hält besser. A London taxi driver secretly leads two marriages simultaneously in the 60s until an unexpected incident shakes his perfectly organized double life. With always new excuses, unexpected encounters, and a chain of mishaps, the protagonist tries to manage two worlds at once. Look forward to an entertaining theater evening, where no eye will remain dry. The production is equipped by the stage design workshop of the Neuberinhaus, which provides the perfect framework for the rapid scene changes.

Look forward to a festive premiere party for “Doppelt leben hält besser” by our Neuberin Ensemble. The DJ duo Bataclan from Dresden will create the perfect dance atmosphere with the sounds of the Sixties. All guests and friends of the ensemble are invited to celebrate the launch of our festival. The foyer with the festival café has been designed by our stage design workshop.

Three times two – that is the formula for the musical gathering at the Duo Evening. As always, this 15th Duo Evening is not about hocus pocus, but about the magic of the smallest possible ensemble formation. The finale of the Duo Evening, where the three duos perform together, has increasingly become the musical highlight over the years. Following previous Duo Evenings, the press feedback consistently reflected the good atmosphere during the concert nights: Headlines like “Musical enjoyment in double pack” or “a triple pleasure” were printed in concert reviews. Recently, the HNA titled: “Instance, ritual, happiness maker: The Duo Evening in the Theaterstübchen.”

At the Duo Evening in the Theaterstübchen, the audience can once again expect a varied concert program: Three duos from Kassel consisting of vocals and piano or guitar present their program that ranges from pop, soul, and jazz. Three female singers and their musical partners take center stage. Individually, the performances include Katja Friedenberg (vocals) and Thomas Höhl (piano) as “Sentimental Two,” Nicole Jukic (vocals) and Lisa Sommerfeld (piano) as “Two Lounge,” and the duo Tabea Henkelmann (vocals) and Frank Sommerfeld (guitar) as “New Wings.”

For 18 years now, Katja Friedenberg and Thomas Höhl have been a well-rehearsed team. With impressive emotion and perfect interplay, they create great enthusiasm among their audience. Since Katja Friedenberg's success in season 1 of “The Voice of Germany,” she has been working as a live and studio singer on various concert and TV stages (including 13 years on Sing meinen Song). Thomas Höhl has achieved success as a composer for award-winning video games and films and performs with various bands (including Gregor Meyle).

Nicole Jukic and Lisa Sommerfeld conjure up dreamy and groovy music with great joy in performance and their shared musical breath. In addition to their affinity for jazz, both musicians are very experimental. A special hallmark of Two Lounge is their popsongs wrapped in jazz wrapping paper, which are always a surprise with their two-part vocals.

Singer Tabea Henkelmann and guitarist Frank Sommerfeld present emotional interpretations of well-known and newly discovered songs. As “New Wings,” they move between folk and pop. Singer Tabea Henkelmann is, among other things, a member of the formations KSwing and Season. Guitarist Frank Sommerfeld is a stylistically versatile accompanist in the Kassel music scene.

Doppelkopf - Musikalisch-komödiantischer Abend

An evening packed with music and melancholic wit, written for Giovanni Rupp and Stephan Vanecek by Ulf Dietrich. The two play two impersonators who are preparing for a performance as Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe in the shabby cafeteria of a car dealership. One of them has been playing his role as 'the most erotic promise of her generation' for almost an eternity and identifies a bit too much with his idol. The other takes the stage as 'Ol' Blue Eyes' for the first time. A lively evening that also tells about life in the second row.

On the surface, however, Doppelkopf is a jovial stroll through the "Great American Songbook", to which Monroe and Sinatra have made their lasting contributions.
