The Stiftung Lyrik Kabinett in Munich is a unique center for poetry that is dedicated to the promotion and mediation of poetry from all over the world.
Founded out of a private initiative, it houses the second largest poetry-specialized reference library in Europe with around 65,000 media, including numerous high-quality artist books.
The Lyrik Kabinett annually organizes about 45 events, including author readings and presentations of historical poetry, thus offering a diverse program for poetry enthusiasts.
The modern architecture of the building, located in the courtyard of Amalienstraße 83a, creates an inspiring atmosphere for visitors and events.
The central location in Maxvorstadt allows for easy access by public transport; the subway station "Universität" is just a few minutes' walk away.
