Das Berliner Indie-Folk-Duo SCOTT & LILA veröffentlicht seine neue EP mit einem Open-Air-Sommerkonzert, begleitet von einer vollständigen Band, in der ufa Fabrik.

SCOTT & LILA sind ein Indie-Folk-Duo aus Berlin, bestehend aus den Songwritern Scott Hildebrand aus Chicago und Lila Despoix aus Paris. Das Duo lernte sich 2019 bei Scotts Straßenauftritten kennen, als er gerade nach Berlin gezogen war. Lila gesellte sich spontan zu ihm ans Mikrofon, und in den folgenden Jahren schrieben und nahmen sie gemeinsam Musik auf, während sie auf ihrer „endlosen Welttournee" unterwegs waren.
Im Jahr 2024 veröffentlichten sie ihr Debütalbum mit 17 Songs, die in Sri Lanka, Südkorea, den USA und in ihrer kreativen Heimat Berlin geschrieben und aufgenommen wurden. Nach dieser ersten Veröffentlichung tourten sie ausgiebig durch ganz Europa und Asien, und ihre Songs liefen in nationalen Fernseh- und Radiosendungen.
Diesen Juni veröffentlichen sie ihre neue EP mit 6 Songs und geben ein Open-Air-Sommerkonzert mit einer vollständigen Band.
Diese Songs spiegeln ihr vielseitiges Songwriting wider, das durch harmonische Gesangsharmonien geprägt ist – zum Leben erweckt durch ihre tiefe Verbundenheit zueinander und zu den Straßen der Welt. Die Aufnahmen entstanden größtenteils live, wobei Schlagzeug, Bass, Gitarre und Gesang gleichzeitig eingespielt wurden, um die Echtheit der Musik zu bewahren – Musik, die von Wahrheit, Selbstfindung und Liebe erzählt.

SCOTT & LILA are an indie-folk duo from Berlin, consisting of songwriters Scott Hildebrand from Chicago and Lila Despoix from Paris. The duo met in 2019 at Scott's street gigs when he first moved to Berlin. Lila spontaneously joined him on the mic and over the next few years they wrote and recorded music while on their "endless world tour".
In 2024 they released their debut album of 17 songs written and recorded in Sri Lanka, South Korea, the USA and in their creative home of Berlin. Following their first release, they performed extensively throughout Europe, and Asia and their songs were featured on national T.V. and radio stations.
This June they will release their new 6 song EP and perform an open air summer concert backed by a full band.
These songs are a representation of their diverse songwriting combined with synergistic vocal harmonies brought to life through their deep connection to each other and the road. The recordings were primarily done live, with drums, bass, guitar and vocals recorded simultaneously to preserve the truthfulness of the music that resonates with the lyrical content of truth, self-discovery and love.
