For most tourists, Croatia means the coast between the Istrian peninsula and Dubrovnik, where around 1.5 million Germans enjoy themselves in the crystal-clear waters each year. We have explored all these highlights such as the islands of Cres, Losinj, Krk, Hvar, or Korcula, of course in autumn when the light conjures up the most magnificent photos and the scents of herbs captivate the senses; when artful cities, whether Porec, Split, Sibenik, or Dubrovnik, are not so crowded. Naturally, we also hiked in the dreamlike Velebit mountain range or through the so-called "eighth wonder of the world" - the Plitvice Lakes.

The capital Zagreb, also called "the mother of Vienna", is one of the greenest cities in Europe and invites you with the most delightful cafes. Throughout the north, one encounters historically significant castles or fantastic thermal and adventure baths. Back towards home, just before Hungary, you can bid farewell in countless wine cellars with an excellent drop and say thank you for such a unique holiday experience in Central Europe!

The pianist Nima Farahmand Bafi and the Morisot Quartet place Antonin Dvorak's grand Piano Quintet op. 81 at the center of the chamber music evening. The work is among the most celebrated pieces of the classical-romantic repertoire. Throughout history, the Piano Quintet op. 81 has been viewed as the paradigm of Dvorak's chamber music, the clearest embodiment of his personal musical language: richly blooming melodies, vibrant rhythms, subtle shades of moods, brilliant sound effects, and folkloric character pieces as middle movements. Following are two gems of the classical and romantic chamber music literature: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart not only composed his Piano Concerto KV 414 for large orchestration but specifically also for quintet instrumentation, as we know from a letter to his father. Anton Webern wrote his Langsamer Satz for String Quartet as a young man even before his op. 1.

The late Gothic church building from 1508 is an impressive testament to the fact that Hirsau was still a prestigious monastery at the end of the Middle Ages. It replaced the Romanesque predecessor building from the time of Abbot Wilhelm. The upper floor of the chapel housed the monastery's library and can only be visited on special occasions. Today's Protestant parish church is full of references to a long history.

Even today, many buildings remind us of the settings of his works, which are well-known beyond the borders of Germany. With great enthusiasm, we bring the characters of the four animals, their owners, and the robbers to life.

Few props and the 18 square meter stage are sufficient for the actors to portray the well-known and exciting story about the fateful encounter of four illustrious beings who are driven away, beaten, and almost killed by their masters and employers because they are too old, too weak, and no longer serving.

As fate would have it, the outcasts find each other. They console each other and together find the courage to change their lives.

They decide to become town musicians. But on their way there, they experience many surprises.

This compelling story also includes humorous scenes.

Forest Stage Bremke 2024 - Magic of the Extinct Volcano

Long, long ago, the anger of the great ruler of all volcanoes destroyed the city-state of Miamalao. The few survivors over the years turned into half-beings, half-animal, half-human. They must lead a suppressed life in the secrecy of the cave system in the great extinct volcano Mecjadecon, amidst tropical forests, under the supervision of malicious volcano keepers.

A distant kingdom, plagued by years of drought, is on the brink of collapse. King Coa the Third sends his bravest advisors and fighters, Kiana and Kalani, to find a new habitat for his people. They embark on an adventurous journey and encounter the Firebird Vulcano, the fearsome volcano keepers, and the half-beings, in order to collectively achieve their freedom and break the magic of the volcano.

Will there be a new future for everyone?

Our anniversary fairy tale for the 75th year is a completely new story and will once again captivate - with everything that defines the Forest Stage Bremke.

The play is suitable for the whole family.
