As part of the first "Es klingt" music festival 2025, the audience can expect a musical highlight on June 18 at 7 PM in the historical Wappensaal of Lübben Castle: The internationally acclaimed piano duo Marco Schiavo and Sergio Marchegiani brings masterful four-handed piano artistry to the region.
The "Es klingt" music festival is a new year-round concert series in South Brandenburg and North Saxony, bringing music in all its diversity to special locations – from castles and churches to open-air stages. The focus is on wind music, but it also boldly thinks beyond musical boundaries – with extraordinary ensembles, exciting programs, and high-profile artists.
The Schiavo-Marchegiani duo is among the outstanding piano duos of our time. Since their founding in 2006, they have been performing worldwide in the most renowned halls – including Carnegie Hall New York, the Musikverein Vienna, the Berlin Philharmonie, and the Mozarteum Salzburg. Their interpretations delight with expressiveness, technical brilliance, and unique musical depth.
In Lübben, the duo presents an exhilarating program full of rhythmic energy and colorful sound worlds. Look forward to spirited overtures by Gioacchino Rossini, including “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” combined with selected Hungarian Dances by Johannes Brahms and Slavic passion in Antonín Dvořák's dances. On stage, the two Italians captivate with intense sound language and extraordinary stage presence.
Don't miss this special concert evening at Lübben Castle – a celebration for music lovers and all those who wish to be enchanted by the magic of the piano.
