Alex Beyrodt & Friends feat. Thomas Blug, BONFIRE, The Pink Floyd Project

From August 22, 2024, to August 24, 2024, the backdrop of the Wallerfangen/Düren airfield transforms into an open-air concert stage for the first time. Over three days, from August 22, 2024, to August 24, 2024, the airfield will be dedicated to rock and hard rock music.

The event kicks off on August 22, 2024, with Alex Beyrodt & Friends feat. Thomas Blug. Guests can expect honest and handmade rock music of the highest caliber with two of the best guitarists in the Southwest. Alex and Friends, a household name nationwide. Alex Beyrodt, composer, guitarist, and producer, has once again achieved a career highlight with his musical friends. Alex travels worldwide with his rock and metal bands, Primal Fear, Sinner, or Voodo Circle. Additionally, he is a key part of the successful series "Rock meets Classic," featuring orchestras and guest stars like Ian Gillan, Steve Lukather, Alice Cooper, Don Felder, Steve Winwood, just to name a few. With the project Alex and Friends, he gathers his musical and personal friends - and these friends are truly remarkable. Thomas Blug, does this name still need an introduction? A renowned German rock guitarist, the best European Stratocaster player, and an amp sound designer known worldwide.

On vocals, David Readman from England, the rock pipes known for his work with Pink Cream 69, who shook up the European charts in the '90s. On drums, Tommy Fischer, the friendly Hessian who played with Guildo Horn for 10 years, is a regular at Thomas Blug's Rockanarchy and is a member of the Woodstock legend Miller Anderson's band, who showed Santana at Woodstock in 1969 how to set up his amp. Last but not least, on bass and vocals, Rudi “Gulli” Spiller joins Alex and his band crew. As a co-founder and permanent member of Rockanarchy, he is widely recognized, at least in Germany. Names like Mick Rogers (MM Earthband), Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson), or Phil X (Bon Jovi) are just a few big names that have shared the stage with "Gulli" and his Rockanarchy.

The concert series "AIRFIELD ROCK 2024" continues on August 23, 2024, with the legendary German hard rock band "BONFIRE". Bonfire is considered one of the best hard rock bands in Germany, and in 2018, they performed at the legendary Wacken Open Air. Bonfire has released 14 albums to date, with sales totaling over 6.5 million worldwide. Originally from Ingolstadt, Germany, and founded in 1972 as Cacumen, the band renamed itself Bonfire in 1986. Hans Ziller and Bonfire have enjoyed over 40 years of success, celebrating significant achievements along the way. These include tours with Judas Priest and ZZ Top, a gold record for Fireworks in Germany, multiple album chart entries in various countries, appearances on ZDF TV Rockgarten in 2020 and 2021, and the classic "You Make Me Feel" reaching over 25 million views on YouTube. Bonfire has diligently worked on a significant project to be released in 2023 on AFM Records.

This project includes a book biography by Hans Ziller, a Bonfire documentary, and re-recordings of the first 3 Bonfire albums, DON'T TOUCH THE LIGHT, FIREWORKS, and POINT BLANK. Bonfire is globally recognized for their great songwriting, catchy melodies, and heavy metal-infused musicality.

Completing the "AIRFIELD ROCK 2024" series on August 24, 2044, is the currently most popular Pink Floyd tribute band from St. Wendel, "The Pink Floyd Project".

50 years ago, Pink Floyd released "The Dark Side Of The Moon," one of the most successful albums of all time. The Pink Floyd Project's show is inspired by this album, bringing the songs from "The Dark Side Of The Moon" closer to their audience in a unique live performance. The Pink Floyd Project from St. Wendel in Saarland has been captivating its audience with authenticity and power for over 16 years, unmatched by many others in the tribute scene. Thanks to the band members' musical prowess and a clear, impactful sound, The Pink Floyd Project delivers emotional effects similar to the original's celebrated style, from the ethereal, atmospheric songs of "Shine on you crazy Diamond" to "Hey You." An exceptional open-air experience awaits the visitors.

Berlin, December 1927: Harry Frommermann has no academic singing or music training, but he is a great fan of the American vocal quartet "The Revelers." Now he is looking for professional singers for his own ensemble. Robert Biberti responds to his advertisement, who not only has an exceptional bass voice but is also a fervent admirer of "The Revelers." Biberti brings his two choir colleagues, Ari Leschnikoff and Roman Cycowski, and one of them brings the pianist Erwin Bootz. As a second tenor, Walter Nußbaum joins initially, but soon he is replaced by Erich Collin. The rest is history: The foundation of the "Comedian Harmonists," the meteoric rise of the sextet, and in 1935, the professional ban for the three Jewish members by the National Socialists and the subsequent dissolution of the group.

"Veronika, the spring has arrived" as well as "My little green cactus" and many other evergreens are still unforgettable and beloved today.

Once again this year, Lutherkirche is hosting summer organ music concerts with renowned organists every Thursday at 8 p.m. during the summer holidays.
The opening concert on July 18 will feature the Murnau silent film "Tartüff" accompanied by Prof. Christiane Michel-Ostertun (Mannheim) on the music. In the closing concert on August 22, Maria Mokhova and Niklas Sikner will play both organs of Lutherkirche simultaneously – an impressive symphony of sounds, so to speak in a "surround effect."

August 1: Anastasia Stahl, Basel – with Bach and a thrilling chorale fantasy by composer Has Huber

After the concerts, we invite you to linger over wine and pretzels under the linden trees in the courtyard of Lutherkirche. Here, you can enjoy BRUNO and ROSSO, the two wines of the Lutherkirche, as well as SICELLE for the first time.

After a successful first event last year, we are looking forward to an entertaining evening over the rooftops of Aachen in August. Four diverse comedians mixed with amusing moderation - there won't be a dry eye! Our guests are indispensable in the world of comedy and are eager to delight you at forum M.

Included is stand-up comedian Tobi Freudenthal, who tells seemingly mundane everyday experiences under the motto #inecht. Naim Jerome Antoine shares funny stories with a twinkle about life, love, and togetherness from his distorted perspective. Last but not least: stand-up comedienne Maren Fjall, who recently won the German Entertainment Award "Best Young Talent" as a producer for Torsten Sträter. Christoph Ohlenforst from Heinsberg, who is also active in carnival, will round off the evening.

As the moderator, Daniel Kus brings together all the comedians and the audience. We look forward to a large audience and a fun, shared evening.

STAGING
The production consciously avoids the countless interpretations that the work has undergone in its over two-hundred-year history. The Lindauer Magic Flute takes place in a fairytale land. And this is not only because the fairytale genre strategically uses illogicalities and paradoxes to enchant literally. Each spectator is allowed and encouraged to find and invent their own story in the Magic Flute.

STAGE HISTORY
The premiere took place on September 30, 1791, at the Freihaus-Theater auf der Wieden - a Viennese suburban theater. In October 1791 alone, the Magic Flute had nearly twenty performances, and it continued to be successful in the Viennese theater's program in the following months. A year later, on October 25, 1792, it was successfully performed in Prague, followed by performances in Munich, in Frankfurt am Main in 1793, and finally in Berlin and in Weimar in 1794.

The guided tour through the historic old town of Leutkirch focuses on the Rococo town hall with its Schwörsaal and the magnificently equipped historical assembly hall, the medieval Bockturm, the Gothic house, and the spiritual quarter with the old monastery and the former "People's Church" of Saint Martin.

Already from 2004 to 2013, Rosenau, together with Theater Rampe, Theaterhaus, Literaturhaus, and Laboratorium, annually organized the "Viennese Week" festival. The idea was to focus on Vienna/Austria for a week and specifically invite cabaret artists, writers, authors, and theater productions from there to Stuttgart. The series "Wiener Blut" now picks up on this idea again. Throughout the year, various Austrian cabaret artists will present their programs at Rosenau: Social, political, and interpersonal topics are entertainingly brought to the stage in a cabaret style! And everything is a bit more biting, sinister, ironic, quirky, and often more poetic than from German territory.

Almost everyone knows the story of Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and the fairy Tinkerbell.
Peter Pan and his gang "The Lost Boys" never want to grow up. They all live on the island of "Neverland." An island where there are fairies, villainous pirates, enchanting mermaids, and a ticking crocodile. One evening, Peter Pan flies through the open window into the Darling family's nursery, and before the dog Nana and the parents notice anything, the children Wendy, John, and Michael fly out into the night with Peter and the fairies and land in Neverland. There, they will face great adventures that they overcome together.
James Matthew Barrie's story tells of the magic and challenges of childhood, of friendship, family, and the search for one's own path. The exhibition BODY WORLDS in Berlin is dedicated to the theme "Facets of Life".

Dr. Gunther von Hagens opens up the human body in his Body Worlds exhibitions, making the fragile, worthy structures of life visible to medical laymen. Together with curator Dr. Angelina Whalley, he shows in the exhibition in Berlin-Mitte the facets of life - between happiness and unhappiness, pressure and equilibrium, chance and fate, obsession with the body and forgetfulness of the body, as well as excess and modesty.

The museum opened its doors in Berlin in 2015. It is located at Alexanderplatz directly in front of the Berlin TV Tower. Since then, visitors have had the opportunity to marvel at a variety of unique plastinates. These provide a deep insight into the highly complex interior of the human body. Interested individuals receive detailed knowledge about organ functions and common diseases, all easily understandable. The lifelike poses establish an immediate connection to the viewers.

What connects us, what keeps us upright and in motion, what makes us laugh and love? At BODY WORLDS, you will find answers to these and many other questions. The first BODY WORLDS museum presents unique plastinates that show the function of individual organs as well as common diseases. It gives insights into the highly complex and structures of the human body and shows what connects us, keeps us upright and in motion, and what makes us laugh and love.

Welcome to the realm of knowledge in the Baroque era: Stepping onto creaking floorboards into the quiet grandeur of our historical library hall, one is immediately enveloped by the collective knowledge of the Early Modern period. Like stage sets in a Baroque theater, the original bookshelves jut into the space, housing around 50,000 books from all fields of knowledge. Behind unassuming book spines lie remarkable treasures, such as the first German Bible printed in America.

At the end of the 17th century, the orphanage's library was established as one of the first public libraries in Germany. Primarily through donations, book exchanges, and their own publications, the library grew so rapidly that within a few years, it was comparable to significant German university libraries. In 1728, it received its own building, which is considered the oldest surviving secular library structure in Germany. Not only in recent times has the library been visited by guests and researchers from around the world: Albrecht von Haller, Johann Joachim Winckelmann, and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe all admired its bibliophilic treasures. We present a selection of them for you in rotating cabinet exhibitions in the former reading room of the library.

The Art and Natural History Chamber is considered the oldest German museum room. It was established by August Hermann Francke for educational purposes and is now once again set up according to the original museum concept of the 18th century in its historical location in the attic of the Historical Orphanage.

Eighteen richly decorated collection cabinets house approximately 3000 natural specimens, curiosities, and artifacts. They provide a unique impression of a Baroque cabinet of curiosities. Unlike modern museums, the chamber follows an encyclopedic collecting approach. A distinction is made between natural specimens and artifacts. The natural specimens are divided into rocks, plants, and animals, while the artifacts are categorized into visual arts, calligraphy, coins, everyday culture, and clothing. The goal was to create a mirror image of the world: a microcosm that made the macrocosm as the wonderful creation of God tangible.

In a series of events, art projects take place around the Art and Natural History Chamber. In the so-called "Contemporary Reflections on the Art and Natural History Chamber," foundations invite artists to engage in an artistic dialogue with the chamber.
