Musically, the audience is in for a treat: a grooving band of monkeys, Shere Khan as the king of rock 'n' roll, and a funky finale - all complemented by rapid choreography.

"The thalhaus Theater wants to give newcomers the chance to perform on established stages like the thalhaus, in addition to the usual high-caliber artists," says Marian A. When the three mismatched brothers Hans Torge, Ole, and Frederick come together for the 'Festival of Love', the Advent season turns into a fast-paced and absurd sleigh ride through Christmas songs.
The guys from Hamburg present themselves as a classic boys' choir or a recorder trio, amaze with a lively tap dance to Bing Crosby's "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town", and celebrate the Christmas feast as a virtuoso performance on plates and pots.
Everywhere you hear contemplative house music: Hans Torge charms his way into the hearts of all mothers-in-law with his festive-triumphant trumpet and the melting marzipan in his voice. The sensitive Ole ruminates on the erotic allure of Santa Claus on his flattering jazz guitar, while the otherwise stoic drummer Frederick protests against the annually recurring shopping terror with a socially critical dance.
Furthermore, the ingenious guys offer some practical tips for the holidays, such as the ultimate 'gift guide' or a fitness rock 'n roll to shed off pesky Christmas pounds.
As a crowning finale, numerous illustrious guests have announced their presence at the feast: Udo Lindenberg, the Rolling Stones, and Heino give insight into the greatest hits of their Christmas shows, the gifted chamber singer Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau interprets Loriot's Advent poem as a chillingly virtuosic art song, and last but not least, George Michael, with his choir of Santa Clauses, intones the traditional "Last Christmas" march.

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the demolition of the city wall of Trier in 2025, an exhibition at the city museum deals with the city wall and the development of the city. Starting from the remnants of the wall that came to light during excavations in the cellar of the Simeonstift during the construction work for the extension, which clearly shows the intertwining of antiquity, the Middle Ages, and modernity, the exhibition connects to the time of the wall's demolition and the present.
