Since August 1st, John Neumeier has been exclusively the artistic director of the Bundesjugendballett – a remarkable honor for the young company and the world of dance. This year, the Bundesjugendballett returns to the Sole-Therme Otterndorf and brings the extraordinary atmosphere of the drained swimming pool to life.
Join us as the eight impressively dancing members of the ballet showcase their skills in the unusual atmosphere of the Sole-Therme.

Under the artistic and educational direction of Kevin Haigen, the Bundesjugendballett presents a full evening program once again, consisting of revivals and pieces from their diverse repertoire. Together with young musicians, the young ensemble showcases choreographies by their artistic director John Neumeier as well as works by guest choreographers and original creations by the company.

The Bundesjugendballett aims to move: Founded in 2011 by John Neumeier, the young company brings ballet and dance out of the opera house and into people's lives across Germany and internationally. The goal of the company is to take ballet to new, unusual places and to particularly inspire young audiences for the art form of dance.

The eight dancers - Miguel Alves Oliveira, Bronte Barnett, Zofia Jablonska, Hannah McCloughan, Taíssa Pache Pimentel, Eleftherios Sarafis, Dmytro Teletskyi, and Oskar Weissel Hetzel - have completed professional training, are between 18 and 23 years old, and have been members of the Bundesjugendballett for a maximum of two years.

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the demolition of the city wall of Trier in 2025, an exhibition at the city museum deals with the city wall and the development of the city. Starting from the remnants of the wall that came to light during excavations in the cellar of the Simeonstift during the construction work for the extension, which clearly shows the intertwining of antiquity, the Middle Ages, and modernity, the exhibition connects to the time of the wall's demolition and the present.

"Double Cabaret Award"

Awarded with the Austrian Cabaret Award 2022 for their respective programs, Malarina and Berni Wagner pack their suitcases and embark on a unique tour through Germany with fur and poncho.
Malarina invites the audience to a history lesson from Sarajevo to Ibiza and asks the question of how the Serbs, a nation whose image has been severely affected since the regicide and Srebrenica, integrate into a country like Austria whose history teachers report on the regicide with unabated shock.
The biologist Berni Wagner dedicates himself to the history of life and takes his audience on a journey from nature and sexuality to racism and the organic supermarket.
Together, Malarina and Berni Wagner are Austria's most modern word export.

How would the constitution sound in Swabian dialect?
Why don't we have an unconditional basic income yet?
And what does my colleague Volker actually want from me?
Jakob Friedrich explores these and other questions in his solo program "Bissle denke beim Schaffe!" He takes his audience on a journey into the daily work routine of the Swabian metal and electrical industry, authentically imitating his colleagues to the point where you feel like you're standing in the assembly hall.
Jakob Friedrich convinces with an entertaining and witty program, in which not only everyday situations, but also economic and political contexts are analyzed.
Look forward to an evening full of situational comedy and interesting new food for thought.

In the year 1740, Captain Rickmers intends to set sail for America with a large cargo. Joining him on the journey are the Dutch trader Wilma van Straaten, the Scottish helmsman McKenzie, the herbalist Katharina, and the clever Mücke posing as Moses. Just before departure, the captain also hires two daring sailors who harbor a special secret. Events take a tumultuous turn on the high seas. A stowaway is discovered, and pirates hijack the vessel. The ship, crew, and all aboard find themselves in dire peril...

Location:
The flourishing traditional brewery from Freiburg has been in existence for over 150 years and has made a name for itself beyond the city limits with its diverse range of beers. Additionally, the brewery's premises regularly host well-attended events and parties.

In 1865, Ludwig Ganter founded the brewery in the house Zum Kindlein Jesu. The building had previously been the residence of the Dutch scholar Erasmus of Rotterdam for several years. Ganter initially brewed with a small brewing system from the 18th century. Due to excellent sales, the brewery expanded.

Students and scholars will receive a 10% discount upon presenting their ID.
Children under 6 years old have free entry.

But when it came to her self-determination, justice, and overcoming life-hostile traditions, the most famous woman of the Middle Ages was unstoppable.

... some monk, some provost, and even the pope when the nun, encouraged by a "It's impossible!", knocked on their door again. As a young child walled up in a monastery cell, she became the founder of two of her own women's monasteries, author of visionary works, and a counterpart to the most powerful of her time. An evening as fast-paced, humorous, and intelligent as Hildegard herself.
