Christmas special of the Stormy Weather Bigband – Bruns XIII
It has become part of the Leer Christmas season like the black-and-white cattle is to East Friesland: The Christmas special of the Stormy Weather Bigband. This year, private detective Kurt Bruns and his intern Swantje investigate an exciting case once again. "Bruns XIII – Ich bin dann mal tot" will be presented to the public for the first time on Monday, December 16, 2024. The show starts at 7:30 PM in the auditorium of the Teletta-Groß-Gymnasium. Hape Kerkeling did it, and many followed his lead: Pilgrimage is like a long bowling tour without alcohol. And when the escaped convict Thadeus Jakobsen suddenly seeks God, Kurt Bruns and Swantje also set off on a journey. With backpacks, walking sticks, and a cheerful song on their lips, they follow Jakobsen on the pilgrimage route “Schola Dei.” Unbeknownst to them, hiking in the lonely vastness of East Friesland can end fatally. Long paths are tiring, and that’s why the two are once again carried through the story by the Stormy Weather Bigband in a musical sedan of jazz, swing, and Latin sounds. With a repertoire designed for sunshine, piña coladas, and hot rhythms, they bring vacation vibes, light, and fun to the dark pilgrimage paths of the North.
For those feeling too stressed in the pre-Christmas season, there is another chance to experience Bruns’ thrilling case and the great music on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 6 PM in the TGG auditorium in Leer.
