The original production by Sasson/Sautter with Deborah Sasson and Uwe Kröger Music: Deborah Sasson Text: Jochen Sautter Music Director and Arrangements: Ryan Martin The grand tour production is back with a high-caliber star-cast and in a completely new musical adaptation. A true musical highlight! After the outstanding success of the 2022/23 tour, world star Deborah Sasson has once again been enlisted to take on the role of Christine in the season. The collaboration between the singer and Germany's musical star number 1, Uwe Kröger, who continues in the role of the Phantom, was celebrated by audiences and the press everywhere. Since 2010, "The Phantom of the Opera" by the author's team of Deborah Sasson and Jochen Sautter has captivated audiences on stages across Europe. The forced break of the Corona pandemic was creatively utilized to completely rework the production musically. For this, the British successful musician Ryan Martin was brought on board, who has composed and arranged music for Cirque du Soleil, America's Got Talent, Netflix, BBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox USA, among others. The spectacular stage design is brought to life by the striking, three-dimensional video projections of the internationally acclaimed multimedia artist Daniel Stryjecki as well as the grand stage elements built by Michael Scott of the Metropolitan Opera in New York. This new production, which was originally created for the 100th birthday of the novel "Le Fantôme de l'Opéra" written in 1910 by Gaston Leroux, is one of the most successful touring musicals in Europe. The production stands out from all previous musical interpretations of the literary material by sticking closer to the original novel and incorporating famous opera quotes in parts of the music composed by Sasson. The role of Christine is interpreted by the globally acclaimed Boston soprano and Echo Klassik Prize winner Deborah Sasson. Her versatile and powerful voice is perfect for this blend of opera and musical. The Phantom is played by Uwe Kröger, who captured the hearts of the audience since his breakthrough in the role of Death in the world premiere of Elisabeth. He has played, among others, the lead roles in the premieres of Rebecca, Mozart, The Visit of the Old Lady, Heidi, and the German-speaking premieres of Sunset Boulevard, Miss Saigon, Doctor Dolittle, The Addams Family, and Napoleon at the London West End. Now, he embodies the role of the world-famous and internally torn Phantom in this production. Furthermore, a large ensemble of selected singers, dancers, and actors from the German-speaking region is involved. Doors open: 7:00 PM
