Favorite books, new releases, bestsellers: The NDR Kultur book podcast eat.READ.sleep. offers tips and guidance in the book market with great success: The podcast community is growing and growing. At the repeated request of fans, the hosts are coming to Rostock to present a podcast session. After an interactive warm-up, Katharina Mahrenholtz and Daniel Kaiser deliver an entertaining stage show centered around reading: favorite books are praised, bestsellers are sometimes criticized or controversially discussed. There is a literary appetizer, spontaneous interactions, and at the end, a book quiz.

The widely known literary critics Annemarie Stoltenberg and Rainer Moritz attract a large fan base twice a year to their amusing book review. They have sifted through, read, and carefully selected their favorite books from this spring. At the city culture house, they make a case for reading and present their spring fresh book recommendations in a lively exchange.

Since spring 2011, the group THE GREGORIAN VOICES has been on tour in Europe. Under the artistic direction of Oleksiy Semenchuk, the eight extraordinary Ukrainian soloists present the musical tradition of Gregorian chant in a sublime manner.

Dressed in traditional monk robes, the singers create a mystical atmosphere that takes the audience on a journey through the world of sacred music from the Middle Ages - a sound world without temporal, religious, and linguistic boundaries! Experience a varied concert with a mix of Gregorian chants, Orthodox church music, and songs and madrigals from the Renaissance and Baroque eras.
With their powerful voices and many solo passages, the choir and its soloists show how Gregorian chant can sound today: authentic yet contemporary.

The second part of the concert features classic pop songs, such as "Ameno" by ERA, "You raise me up" by Josh Groban, "Knocking on heaven's door" by Bob Dylan, "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, "Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel, "Sailing" by Rod Stewart, which have been rearranged in the style of Gregorian chant.
