Eva Karl Faltermeier is known for her sharp wit and her inimitable way of captivating audiences in Bavaria and throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. In her third stage program “Ding Dong,” she remains true to her style as she shares her social-political observations with her audience. The breeding ground for these often comes from her background, the pranks life plays on her – they are ideal for drawing conclusions from the small to the large.

Her stage persona once again confronts the multiple challenges of everyday life between unfulfillable societal norms and cultural roots; an emotional mixture that can provoke powerlessness. This powerlessness is the powerlessness of many. To free herself from it, Eva Karl Faltermeier constructs stories with humor. Her great art lies in presenting oddities and serious topics with a wink. Laughter as a coping strategy – about time, upheavals, and goals; what one misses, what one has, and where it should go. In the end, there remains the confidence that everything is somehow doable. No one spoke of perfection.

In recent years, Eva Karl Faltermeier has quickly made a name for herself in the scene, received and awarded accolades, visited and hosted television shows. That not everything can be controlled in life is a truism. “Make a plan and God laughs!”

When Julia “Jules” Fischer and Karin Rabhansl were booked for a joint concert evening in the autumn of 2018, it was planned that they would come together for a few songs in the finale. No one would have thought that what reads so completely contrary on paper (here silky piano soul, there dark colorful vernacular riot) would blend so smoothly on stage.

And because the whole thing was also a huge amount of fun, it was clear: This idea needs an extension. Boom: The power duo Fischer&Rabe was born!

Presented by: Oliver Pötzsch, born in 1970, initially worked as a journalist and screenwriter at Bayerischer Rundfunk after his studies. Today, he lives as an author with his family in Munich. "Always something. Either my feet fall asleep. Or they itch. Then I can't breathe when I walk faster. Or I have a sweat outbreak. Then I'm cold again. The food no longer tastes good to me, sex is boring, pants are too tight. What is this? - This must all be because of climate change, right? Temperatures in summer are like in the tropics! Suddenly these huge insects appear! They didn't exist before! If they sting you, you get a swelling that won't go away for months! Probably they are all genetically modified. And the plants! They are getting stupid too. The plants are losing it! They are overgrowing everything now! Since I don't go out anymore. My theory is, the plants want to take over the planet. They are all connected underground through their roots. Worldwide! The plants have a secret plan. They want total destruction of Western culture and Austrian folk rock 'n' roll. It's all going to be replaced by um, photosynthesis.
