Christmas - it is a time to pause and reflect, a time for family, friends, and togetherness.
Especially during the advent season, everyone longs for some peace and contemplation, but also for laughter and light-heartedness. However, for many of us, Christmas is unfortunately no longer what it used to be.
The Dresden a cappella pop band MEDLZ is embarking on their 15th annual Christmas tour throughout Germany, aiming to achieve exactly that with their audience:
To ignite a light in the hearts of their listeners and to pull people out of their often stressful and worrisome daily lives, at least for two hours, to create a moment of peace.
This year, the band is bringing their new album "Weihnachtsleuchten lll" along, once again presenting traditional German as well as atmospheric Christmas songs, for example from cold Norway, Ireland, or France, on stage.
But of course, one can also look forward to cozy, warm, and lively songs from Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra, as well as a few original songs.
The MEDLZ (Nelly Palmowske, Juliane Köbe, and Sabine Kaufmann) are embarking on this Christmas tour for the first time with their new singer, Bianca Dolabella, who not only brings a new, beautiful vocal color but perhaps also a few musical surprises.
In short: MEDLZ brings a lot of new elements this year but remains true to their style and program, to pause time for a cozy evening, warm hearts, make thoughts take flight, and touch the innermost with their music.
With just four voices, imaginative arrangements, well-dosed percussion, and modern sound design, MEDLZ create soundscapes that transport the listener to the respective countries of the Christmas songs.
In festively illuminated churches, they bring forth that cheerful-contemplative atmosphere during advent that some might have long believed lost since childhood – and bring shining eyes to their audience.
