Auch dieses Jahr schrieb der Berliner Senat Stipendien für die nicht auf Deutsch schreibenden Autor·innen Berlins aus – aus 241 Bewerbungen wurden 12 Stipendiat∙innen ausgewählt, die ihre Texte nun im LCB präsentieren. Ausgezeichnet wurden der ägyptische Autor Ahmed Awny, der afghanische Schriftsteller Taqi Akhlaqi, die auf Englisch schreibende cross-disciplinary artist Francesca Aisha Iwa d'Ath, der auf Englisch schreibende Autor Joey Morris Bahlsen, die chilenische Schriftstellerin Patricia Cerda, die georgische Autorin Lela Chilingarishvili, der jüdisch-kanadische Bühnenautor Jonathan Garfinkel, die indonesische Autorin Nelden Djakababa Gericke, der russische Lyriker Aljoscha Prokopev, die türkische Lyrikerin İpek Seyalıoğlu und und die auf Englisch schreibende Autorin Ripu Daman Singh. Ahmed Awny und Raphaëlle Red, die ebenfalls ein Stipendium bekamen, können leider nicht teilnehmen. This year, the Berlin Senate once again awarded scholarships to Berlin authors who do not write in German – 12 scholarship holders were selected from 241 applications to present their texts at the LCB. The winners are the Egyptian author Ahmed Awny, the Afghan writer Taqi Akhlaqi, the cross-disciplinary artist Francesca Aisha Iwa d’Ath, the author Joey Morris Bahlsen, who both write in English, the Chilean writer Patricia Cerda, the Georgian author Lela Chilingarishvili, the Jewish-Canadian playwright Jonathan Garfinkel, the Indonesian author Nelden Djakababa Gericke, the Russian poet Aljosha Prokopev, the Turkish poet İpek Seyalıoğlu and the author Ripu Daman Singh, who also writes in English.
