For the whole family from 6 years old
Based on Carlo Collodi by Jochen Streicher and Heinz Redmann
In this fast-paced and elaborate stage musical, Geppetto, an old woodcarver from Italy, finds a rough branch of a pine tree that was struck by lightning during a storm. Quickly, the old man decides to carve a puppet out of the wood to earn some money. But while working on the carving, Geppetto notices the peculiarity of the raw branch. The piece of wood speaks and thinks like a human. Well, like a particularly cheeky and funny human. Shortly after completing the puppet, it dances, sings, and speaks like a little boy. Pinocchio! That's what the wooden rascal should be called. In his happiness, Geppetto wants to treat him like his own son, whom he never had. However, this proves to be somewhat difficult, as Pinocchio soon disappears on his way to school. Instead of studying diligently, he falls into the clutches of the ominous puppeteer, Fire-Eater, and is robbed and tied up by a scoundrel Fox and a street Cat in the Land of Wonders. It's unimaginable what might happen if the creatures of the night were to catch him. But a fairy with midnight blue hair recognizes the good in Pinocchio and promises to turn him into a real boy - should he learn well and behave properly. With a real heart. However, shortly after that, Pinocchio forgets his promise and once again believes the words of the villainous duo Fox and Cat. This time, the rogues persuade the gullible wooden boy to go with them to the Land of Sweets and Toys. A wonderland. He quickly pays for this, as the visit ends with a donkey head and a donkey tail. Meanwhile, Geppetto desperately searches for his Pinocchio. He could never have dreamed that his cheeky wooden puppet would soon be exhibited as a curiosity in a vile circus. On his desperate search for him, the old man is swallowed by a huge whale. And that the naughty wooden boy loses his donkey form again is once again thanks to the wonderful fairy. Once again, Pinocchio believes the deceitful tricksters Fox and Cat and also ends up in the belly of the whale. And still, no real heart beats in his wooden chest. Well, some lies have short legs, and some have long noses....
Enchanting and humorous elements come together to create an entertaining musical. The educational intention of the work is clear: Pinocchio is the child, the unfinished human being who encounters good and evil and must learn to make the right decisions. Absolutely worth seeing!
