The German guitarist and singer has shared the stage with B.B. King, Gary Moore, Peter Green, Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa, and the Tedeschi Trucks Band, and after numerous tours across Europe, he has become an integral part of the international blues scene.

His virtuosic and passionate guitar playing, his rough distinctive voice, and a sense for good grooves have over the years shaped his unmistakable style.
Since 2006, the multi-instrumentalist has released 11 studio albums and 7 live albums, and there is almost always a new album in the works under his label Cable Car Records.

Technically, this would already be possible today. But unfortunately, the big corporations are preventing it. The science cabaret artist and physicist Vince Ebert takes stock: Have we become more rational, more composed, or even smarter in recent years? Spoiler alert: No, we have not. Only 18% of the population wears a bicycle helmet, but 91% use a protective cover for their phone. When reality increasingly turns into satire, when government statements are practically indistinguishable from posts by The Postillon - how on earth is a satirist supposed to top that? But Vince Ebert does not give up. On the outside, he may appear to be an old white man. But that is just a social construct. In "Vince of Change," he identifies as a 32-year-old tanned surf instructor from California and thus addresses completely new target groups. An evening dedicated to youthful voices and great a cappella music spanning the centuries – this is what the Youth Concert Choir of the CHORAKADEMIE at the Concert Hall Dortmund e.V. invites you to with their new concert program. Under the direction of Johannes Honecker, who has been the choir's leader since the beginning of 2025, the singers aged 14 to 19 will present a varied spiritual program from Heinrich Schütz to the present, featuring musical classics and new discoveries. Look forward to works by numerous composers from the last five centuries that showcase the full range of a cappella literature.

The Youth Concert Choir of the CHORAKADEMIE Dortmund e.V. is the award-winning top ensemble of Europe’s largest singing school. The choir is, among other accolades, the first prize winner of the German Choir Competition 2018 and the competition of the German Choir Festival 2025 in Nuremberg and has made a name for itself well beyond the borders of the Ruhr area in recent years. Every year, the young singers perform a cappella concerts throughout North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond. Furthermore, the Youth Concert Choir regularly collaborates with regional orchestras for large choral-symphonic projects such as in the 2025/26 season with the Dortmund Philharmonic for Mozart's "Coronation Mass" and Bach's "Passion According to St. John," with the Bochum Symphony Orchestra and Bach's "Christmas Oratorio," or the Mahler Chamber Orchestra with Gustav Mahler’s 3rd Symphony.

Dennis Dupree, the owner of the club, is facing a big problem: The German construction contractors Hertz Klinemann and his son Franz want to build a shopping mall on the site of the "Bourbon Room." They ensure the support of the mayor, not least with financial "donations." The mayor agrees to the closure and demolition of the “Bourbon Room” with the pretext that the club generates too little tax revenue for the city.

City planner Regina comes out: She has had a passion for rock 'n' roll for a long time and is against the demolition plans. The mayor promptly fires her. Outraged, she publicly protests against the demolition by organizing demonstrations. Dennis Dupree needs a solution quickly to save the "Bourbon Room." He learns that the band Arsenal wants to break up. Their success story began in the “Bourbon Room.” Why not have the final concert where it all started? As ROCK CLASSICS from DEEP PURPLE like HIGHWAY STAR, SPEED KING, CHILD IN TIME, BURRN or the legendary SMOKE ON THE WATER emerged in the hard rock scene of the 70s, these 5 female musicians had not even been born yet!!!

The approximately 1 ½ hour stage performance with their passionate, energetic temperament conveys an authentic impression of the rock icons' work and impresses both laymen and scene veterans alike. Only a few bands manage to come close to their heroes in show and sound. This caught the attention of Ian Paice, the legendary drummer of Deep Purple and the currently only remaining founding member of Deep Purple, who has since been so enthusiastic that he even played with them at a joint concert in Graz. In his lecture with scenic insights, Bernhard Weller brings to life the time and events surrounding "Brother Francis" and the spread of the Franciscan movement. His most important witness of the time - and at the same time one of the closest companions of Saint Francis - is the now completely unknown Cæsarius of Speyer.

The lecture emerged from the extensive historical research and source studies of the author Bernhard Weller on Cæsarius of Speyer for his new historical comedy "The Shadow of Speyer" (Spitz & Stumpf). Magic teacher Jan Martensen has been teaching aspiring magicians in Germany and Luxembourg for thirty years, providing not only endless fun but also allowing many girls and boys to enjoy the most beautiful hobby in the world. Well, besides horseback riding. And soccer...
However, with magic, you can surprise people, play fun tricks on them, astonish them, or lead them astray – and even get applause for it! This afternoon, Jan will not only show you his favorite tricks, but he'll also explain several of them so you can perform your own little shows later. The focus is on practicing together and having fun; it's not tiring or boring at all. It will be your most magical afternoon!

Jan Martensen lives in Schleswig-Holstein. He teaches youth groups in Performing Arts, leads the children's magic group of the state capital Kiel, and writes columns, children's musicals, as well as comedy and cabaret programs for other artists, such as Ass-Dur, Elke Winter, and Fabian Kelly. In 2019, the municipality of Kronshagen honored his "special services to children and young people"; in 2012, he was chosen as one of the 6 "favorite Kielers."
The Schleswig-Holstein Minister of Education called his theater work in schools "exemplary."

Die Höchste Eisenbahn is back – and in 2025, it sounds like what people in 1925 envisioned for the year 1999: full of skyscrapers and flying steam carriages. After just half a song, you remember exactly why you love these four Berliners so much and how much you’ve missed them. Six years is a long time, even if it went by quickly for the band – Corona and various solo projects made it feel shorter than it was. Max Schröder played with Olli Schulz, Francesco Wilking with the Crucchi Gang, Moritz Krämer released songs with the Sad Lobsters and The Cowardly Beauty, and Felix Weigt became a podcaster, even considered putting music aside for a while.
But now, Die Höchste Eisenbahn is not only back with a big tour in the fall of 2025 but also with a new album: "When we see each other again, we will yell at each other again". There’s a whole bunch of fresh earworms: "This Life", "I’ll be right there" or "Office Days". After a jam-packed tour, it's finally time to go outside in 2026 – with open air shows in Hamburg, Leipzig, Kaiserslautern, and Berlin. There, Francesco Wilking, Moritz Krämer, Felix Weigt, and Max Schröder will not only play the old favorite songs but also their new pieces.
