Ireland, the green island, is known for its wild, rugged nature and lively, hospitable inhabitants. I wanted to check if there's really something to this cliché. So I set off to travel completely around Ireland on my bicycle. As a reward for the efforts of the 3000 km bike journey, I was able to bring back impressive images of the breathtaking landscapes and gained deep insights into Irish culture.

The Wild Atlantic Way, the famous coastal road along the Atlantic, passes by the dreamy peninsulas of Dingle and Beara, as well as the legendary Ring of Kerry. On Skellig Michael, landscapes reminiscent of Star Wars and the cute puffins await. The Aran Islands are characterized by a harsh climate and prehistoric monuments. I climbed the mountains of Connemara, went on pilgrimage on the day of the national saint St. Patrick, and experienced authentic evenings full of music and camaraderie in the cozy pubs of the country. The journey took me all around the island from the milder south to the remote north, where time seems to have stood still.

Majestic cliffs, green hills, charming villages: The presentation "Irland - Wild Atlantic Ride" showcases the unique beauty of Ireland along the dramatic coasts of the Wild Atlantic Way. Through captivating images, stirring music, and lively narratives, I aim to touch the audience with all their senses. My personal experiences from months spent in Ireland give the journey a unique flavor that captivates the viewers. With 'Irland - Wild Atlantic Ride,' I want to share the fascination for the green island and encourage others to embark on their own journey of discovery.

In September 2025, Sandra Butscheike and Steffen Mender set out on the greatest adventure of their lives. Their destination: South America. With their bicycles, they pedal from Sucre in Bolivia to Tierra del Fuego.
They conquer high passes and camp at altitudes between 4000 and 5000 meters in double-digit sub-zero temperatures. The two traverse the largest salt flat on Earth, travel on extreme gravel and corrugated roads, and have to push their bicycles for many kilometers through deep sand. Scorching heat, extreme storms, and pouring rain make the cyclists' lives no easier.
For their hardships, the couple is more than compensated with breathtaking landscapes, magical overnight spots, warm encounters, and unforgettable experiences.
After over 6 months in the saddle, the photographers and filmmakers reach Ushuaia, the destination of their dreams, feeling overjoyed and infinitely grateful.

Currently, about 200 feet are dancing together with trainer Ramona Schneider until the floor smokes. Colorful costumes, creative choreographies and a lot of fun – that is “kess”!

As a member of the Thüringer Dance Association, “kess” Zeulenroda-Triebes represents far beyond the state borders. Successful participations in various dance competitions, performances in partner cities such as Giengen an der Brenz (BW), Wies (Austria) or Sainte-Florine (France) are special highlights for all dancers.
