One can travel quite far in the world from one's own city: whether it's Spain, Vienna, Argentina: our music makes it possible.
Die Meistercelli von Nürnberg consists of eight highly talented cellists with international backgrounds and careers. The repertoire mainly consists of well-known works of short duration, which keeps the audience's interest always alive. Thus, we offer you new listening experiences time and again with the best selected pieces of music.
After the established ensembles Violoncellos Argentinos in Buenos Aires and 8Celli in Stuttgart, Carlos Nozzi, solo cellist of the Philharmonie Buenos Aires and last cellist of Astor Piazzolla, founded Die Meistercelli von Nürnberg in 2019 in his new chosen home Franconia, continuing the successful series of his previous ensembles with his known unique mixture of tradition and renewal. Since then, the ensemble has performed in front of ever-passionate audiences in Munich, Erlangen, Coburg, Ellingen, Hersbruck, and of course, Nuremberg.
Now it's time again, and we look forward to seeing you soon at a concert of a special kind on October 13 at 5:00 PM (entry at 4:00 PM) at our new regular venue in Nuremberg, the St. Martha Church (Königstraße 79, 90402 Nürnberg).
This time, we also have Stephan Goldbach on double bass as a guest soloist in Contrabajísimo by Astor Piazzolla - the crowning of a unique experience.
You can expect works of different styles from Latin America to Europe, from Johann Strauss, Mozart to Piazzolla and Ginastera. Our own arrangements spread charm and seduction through sound and rhythm.
We look forward to welcoming you soon to our concerts.
