With his shimmering scales, he is the most beautiful fish in the entire ocean and is admired by the other fish. However, the Rainbow Fish is not interested in the community of the other sea creatures, and so he soon becomes the loneliest fish in the great ocean. Fortunately, there is the wise octopus. He brings him an idea that will change his life in the deep sea...

The big and the little wolf try out happiness: while fishing, while sledding, in their life on the meadow. But what about the beautiful, crispy green leaf, high up in the tree, that the little wolf longs for so much, which simply does not want to fall from the tree, even in winter. It is the great happiness of the little wolf, but how can he obtain it? Only in winter does the big wolf decide to get it for him. A dangerous ascent begins.
A piece about happiness; about the happiness that lies in togetherness, about the happiness and unhappiness of longing, about the happiness of having friends who want to see you happy and need a lot of courage for that, and about the happiness that constantly changes its form yet remains happiness.

We think we always know exactly what our happiness looks like, what it needs, and when it should finally be here. However, this knowledge often causes us to overlook the real happiness that shines in so many small facets, often in togetherness and for one another. We want to raise awareness for the small, everyday happiness that often looks so different from what we imagined, which doesn't obviously have the label of happiness attached to it. The piece accompanies the wolves through all seasons and discovers their beauties.

The final concert of the 48th Nuremberg Church Music Days with the Palestrina Choir Nuremberg features three anniversaries in its program. Following motets by Charles Villiers Stanford (100th anniversary of death) and Vytautas Miskinis (65th birthday), the main work of the concert is the Missa Papae Marcelli by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (430th anniversary of death), the namesake of the choir. It is Palestrina's most famous mass, thanks to the legend that the composer supposedly convinced the council fathers in Trent with this work to ban polyphonic singing from the Catholic Mass and to allow only the single-voiced Gregorian chant.
It is therefore not surprising that this mass is among the showcase pieces of the Palestrina Choir Nuremberg!

Let yourself be impressed by the dignified atmosphere at the old Jewish cemetery in Fürth. Many famous rabbis such as Meschullam Salman Kohn or benevolent philanthropists like the founder of the first infant clinic in Bavaria, Alfred Nathan, were buried here. The old tombstones reveal a lot about the history of the Jewish community in Fürth.

Many have heard of the "bureaucratic red tape," but few have actually seen it. In Fürth City Hall, a sculpture of this concept can be admired. During the tour of the classical administrative building, visitors will explore the prestigious meeting room and the staircase. The building's history and the ancestral gallery of Fürth personalities will be explained. Rare objects along the way to the town hall tower shed light on the city's history. The highlight of this tour is the view from the tower, reminiscent of Florence, overlooking the city.

1st Master Concert: Mao Fujita & Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra

Mao Fujita was born in the Japanese capital Tokyo in 1998 and is currently conquering the major stages. Recently, the master student of Kirill Gerstein and winner of various piano competitions made numerous debuts in Europe, including with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Czech Philharmonic. Now, the pianist is coming to Franconia with an orchestra from his hometown: Together with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Mao Fujita will perform one of the most famous piano concertos of all time - Tchaikovsky's eternally youthful B minor Concerto, considered by many as the epitome of a late romantic virtuoso piece.
The name Yomiuri may be familiar to daily listeners of the international press review, as the Yomiuri Shinbun published in Tokyo is one of the largest daily newspapers in Japan. It was founded by this publisher in 1962. The guests from the island also bring a domestic work and Rachmaninoff's grand and emotionally charged 2nd Symphony. Sebastian Weigle, the versatile and multi-award-winning former General Music Director of the Frankfurt Opera, has artistically led and shaped the Japanese orchestra since 2019.

The castle with a lot to offer: "HerrschaftsZeiten! Erlebnis Cadolzburg" from June 24, 2017 at the Cadolzburg - the new highlight of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region

A powerful castle - the setting of the illustrious history of a ruling family that has achieved great success: this was and is the Cadolzburg. The rulers were the Hohenzollern family, who ruled over Franken and later Brandenburg, also gaining electoral dignity in the 15th century. Later on, they even became Prussian kings and German emperors.

The Cadolzburg derives its radiance not only from its role as the starting point of a significant career in the Holy Roman Empire - the impressive structure itself reflects this golden era of the Hohenzollerns. The new museum "HerrschaftsZeiten! Erlebnis Cadolzburg" of the Bavarian Administration of State Castles will make this time - the late Middle Ages - exciting and informative for visitors through innovative communication concepts. While walking through the castle, visitors can learn not only about the architectural history, wars and peace, daily life, and governing tasks of the princely castle residents. There is much to discover here through interactive and sensory means:

Visitors can experience the castle through their sense of smell, there are tactile stations, sounds and dialogues, vivid models, and invitations to try things out. Exciting or challenging games, medieval Hohenzollerns in their own words, and the jester Contz who guides visitors through the castle bring the Middle Ages to life. Visitors can also expect to see several original medieval artifacts such as swords, maces, or a magnificent treasure chest. Other objects were specially crafted for the museum based on extensive research in historical techniques, such as the gilded armor of the famous General Albrecht Achilles, or textiles dyed according to original recipes. The Bavarian Administration of State Castles also made significant contributions to experimental historical research, like creating a breastplate from boiled leather, in line with the ambition of creating one of Germany's most important castle museums.

The cultural communication of the Bavarian Administration of State Castles also offers a diverse program of accompanying events, making this exciting history even more intriguing - for the young nobleman as well as the castle enthusiast.

Not only the Middle Ages but also the Cadolzburg itself now comes back to life. After the extensive damage of World War II, original medieval rooms and successful architectural creations of the 21st century can now be experienced. The modern buildings completed in 2017 bridge the medieval era with our present time.

You can expect very special experiences here - it truly is THE CASTLE WITH A LOT TO OFFER.

Or is it just about proving that their spot is the better one? Whatever the case, sometimes it's worth it to listen to your gut feeling...
It also revolves around visions of the future, aliens, darkness, and a lot of emotions that occur between living beings. Jealousy, shame, fear, and pride, for example. Quite a lot can happen on a field between three creatures, out of the blue. And all with lots of music!

The devil is causing chaos in Moscow. Literally. While he and his entourage educate the corrupt and opportunistic society there with absurd punishments, Margarita hopes that her lover, the Master, will finally reappear. However, he, driven to madness by the devastating critiques of his novel, has checked himself into a psychiatric hospital where half of Moscow has gathered since the arrival of the devil, Woland.

The detailed narration of his novel about Pontius Pilate and his most famous judgment gradually becomes part of the plot, while the Master becomes part of Moscow's reality. Meanwhile, Margarita connects with the intermediary world. She is invited by Woland to be his queen of the ball and experiences a spectacular infernal festival of a different dimension. How does a person behave in the face of evil? Does love bring redemption or only death?
