SIE MICH AUCH! - update 2026
Best of Philipp Schaller
The artistic director of Herkuleskeule, Philipp Schaller, has been one of the most performed cabaret authors in the country for many years. Not only is his work featured at Keule, but also at places like the Berliner Distel, Gisela Oechelhaeuser, Erik Lehmann, Michael Frowin, Ellen Schaller, and many other cabaret artists who perform his bitterly funny texts every evening. For seven years now, Schaller has been on stage himself, building a growing fanbase since then.
He prefers to ask questions rather than annoy the audience with morals. He doesn't complain about those up top; he takes aim at himself: ruthlessly and hilariously!
In his first Best-Of program, Philipp Schaller presents the texts that are most important to him, timeless and very current, performed and read, ranging from silly to profoundly dark, devious to macabre – not always funny, but consistently comedic.
Philipp Schaller does not play characters; he finds his material within himself, thus becoming a mirror of our absurd longings, vanities, cowardices, and double standards. He consciously situates himself between all chairs, as it is the most productive place to find compromises in a divided society. Irony is his means of transportation between the ideological trenches of the right and left, climate activists and climate deniers, gender stars and old white men. Only on the topic of peace or war is there no room between the chairs – a theme that has accompanied Schaller's programs for many years.
The event has unfortunately been canceled.
