The spa park is the heart of the city. Located directly on the Ilmenau River, an approximately 18-hectare spa park surrounds the spa center. It was not originally planned and designed as an artificial park, but has grown organically and in many parts designed to be close to nature. The extensive green zone with its old trees connects the old town in the west with the spa quarter and merges into the meadow landscape along the Ilmenau.

The head gardener, Ms. Christiane Wittkowski, guides guests interested in botany through the Bad Bevensen spa park. She not only talks about the diverse plant life in the park but also explains how it has evolved over the decades.

With our new workshop offering on Saturdays in Bad Bevensen, you get the chance to consciously take care of yourself and your health from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Qi Gong is a part of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). This is where the term life care originates. It has relaxing and harmonizing effects and helps to achieve more serenity, concentration, inner calm, and better mobility. Through stress regulation, you can support your immune system, strengthening the self-healing powers.

We will practice selected exercises from the 18 movements of Tai Chi Qi Gong together; calmness and relaxation alternate, flowing movements connect with breathing, and mindfulness is trained.
In the group, we practice with fun and free from perfectionism! Our carousel of thoughts can gradually come to rest.
Depending on the weather, we will practice in the spa house or in the spa park. Please bring comfortable clothing, warm, non-slip socks or comfortable shoes, and something to drink.

Once a week, guided tours through the Bad Bevensen city center are offered every Saturday at 2:00 pm. All interested participants are accompanied by dedicated city guides who have a lot of interesting facts to share about the history of Bad Bevensen.

The meeting point for these tours is right in front of the Kurhaus. After some explanations about Bad Bevensen's recent history, namely that of the spa town, the tour goes through the spa park into the old town. Passing by the Three Kings Church, where Bad Bevensen's cradle once stood, the path continues through the small and large streets, which are largely free from car traffic. With history and stories about the city, its citizens, and the surrounding area, the city guides bring their listeners closer to "their" Bad Bevensen. Many things that were previously passed by carelessly suddenly appear in a new light and are viewed with fresh eyes.

The city tour offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about the history of the holiday or spa town and the most important historical buildings while strolling through Bad Bevensen.

Traditionally, the Circle Hunters Association organizes a concert on the eve of its Annual General Meeting, on Thursday, March 19, at 7:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM, in the trophy-decorated spa hall of Bad Bevensen under the motto “Hörnerklang und Chorgesang.” With the participation of all the brass groups from the Uelzen hunters, about 80 hunting horn players will perform together under the direction of Antje Schumann, as well as in solo performances, presenting hunter marches and other concert music pieces. Also joining is the Es-Horn brass group from Betzendorf under the direction of Dörte Heidenecker, who will delight the audience with the unique sound of their horns. The concert evening will be rounded off by the male choir “Harfe” from Sahrendorf/Schätzendorf under the direction of Rolf Puppe with their songs. Naturally, the outstanding nature and hunting images by Bettina Heukamp will also be featured at the event.

The moderator of the evening is the head of the Hegering Bad Bevensen, Hubertus Grau.
