Il Concertino Virtuoso
The ensemble Il Concertino Virtuoso is a chamber music ensemble of the Staatskapelle Berlin. It was founded in 2014 through the initiative of the violinists of the Staatskapelle, concertmaster Axel Wilczok and Andreas Jentzsch.
The core repertoire of the ensemble consists of baroque, pre-classical, and classical music for strings and basso continuo, as well as vocal arias from these three eras. In addition to virtuosic violin concertos, solo concertos for wind instruments, and virtuosic chamber works for string ensemble with and without basso continuo are performed, as well as works for mixed ensembles such as the Brandenburg Concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach and numerous arias for voice, strings, and basso continuo. These are played by the musicians on modern instruments, but are prepared according to performance practice considerations.

The soloist for the concert evening in Neuenhagen is Chloé Dufossez, who was born in France in 1997 and began playing the flute at the age of seven. In 2006, she won the special prize from the jury at the competition in Lempdes under Vincent Lucas, the solo flutist of the Orchestre de Paris, where she subsequently studied at the CRR until 2013. She received important impulses in master classes, including with Michel Debost, Maxence Larrieu, Felix Renggli, Andrea Lieberknecht, and Silvia Careddu. Early on, she dedicated herself to chamber music with her sister Julie Dufossez (clarinet); in 2010, the two appeared on the show “Génération Jeunes Interprètes” on Radio France. During her studies, she won numerous national and international awards. In 2019, she became the solo flutist at the Opéra Orchestre National de Montpellier, before winning the position of solo flutist with the Staatskapelle Berlin in 2024, which she will take up in April 2025.
