Young Berlin ballet dancer Giulietta wants to understand what makes the tango so special and encounters Damián, the charismatic star of a Buenos Aires ensemble. An intense relationship develops between them until Damián unexpectedly disappears. Giulietta follows him to Argentina and finds herself in a world where visible and hidden layers of tango intertwine. Damián's enigmatic dance style becomes her Ariadne's thread through a dangerous labyrinth of long-held secrets of the Argentine and German past.

The search profoundly shakes Giulietta’s previous certainties. Nothing remains as it seemed. The disciplined ballet student transforms into an artist who shapes her own solo from pain and realization. Astor Piazzolla's "Tres Minutos con la Realidad" serves as the musical motif and namesake of the stage adaptation.

Drama, tango, and video art merge into a sensual experience that impressively transfers the emotional power of the novel to the stage.

Tango & the magical vitality of Argentina

In 2027, one of the most significant Argentine dance and music productions returns to Germany. At the center is a panorama of Argentine culture, carried by Nicole Nau, Luis Pereyra, and their high-caliber company. The title "Ocaso Amarillo" refers to the pale yellow sky of twilight, as described by Jorge Luis Borges – that moment when the figures of the tango awaken.

In an impressive connection of dance, music, and poetry, Malevos, Compadres, Gauchos, and Chinas encounter each other. Rustling dresses, shuffling soles, whirling Boleadoras, and precisely placed steps characterize the scenes. Guitar sounds, drums, singing, and storytelling weave together into a dense image of Argentine identity.

Featured are works by Astor Piazzolla, original compositions by Luis Pereyra, as well as texts by Borges. Pereyra shapes the work as a dancer, choreographer, and director, while Nicole Nau embodies the poetry of tango with elegance and expressiveness.
