PULSE | The Best Of Pink Floyd - Acoustic Side of the Moon
The continuation of the unique and successful acoustic concert series featuring ex-echoes musicians Oliver Hartmann, Martin Hofmann, Markus Nanz, among others - accompanied by their exclusive string quartet from Prague! Presented by Rockantenne and the magazines Eclipsed, Good Times, Musix, and Breakout. PINK FLOYD unplugged? Not quite. Even at these concerts by PULSE, small electronic aids are still used here and there. But the concept behind the slogan “Acoustic Side Of The Moon” is to minimize the fantastic and often bombastically arranged music of the British icons while uncovering their brilliant core. This was achieved in 2014 by the band led by the charismatic singer and guitarist Oliver Hartmann, who has always been responsible for the overall concept, the string arrangements, and all releases. Since the band parted ways immediately after the sold-out acoustic tour in 2024, five former members have successfully continued this special concert series under the name PULSE. Musically, they are still supported by their fabulous string quartet from Prague, which has been a fixed part of these tours for many years. Classics such as “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” “Another Brick In The Wall,” and “Wish You Were Here” have been part of the fixed repertoire for years, but complex songs that are heavily electronic in the original, such as “Welcome To The Machine” or “Money,” are also not left out, but are staged in a fascinating way with new and creative arrangements. This can be heard and seen on the successful release “Barefoot To The Moon” by the former band Echoes, mixed and produced by Oliver Hartmann, which has been highly praised on Amazon since its release in 2015, even achieving an impressive 20th place in the German Media Control Charts - a kind of accolade for a tribute band. After the two partially sold-out tours in January 2025 and 2026, PULSE will continue their unique concert series in 2027 with a total of ten dates in selected theaters and concert halls. They impressively demonstrate what to expect live: full houses and frenzied applause on a journey to the “Acoustic Side Of The Moon.”
