The legendary Capitol New Year's Eve party! It's time to rock into the New Year in the usual festive manner once again. At Capitol Mannheim, Back to the 80's and DJ Greg Silver will create a lively New Year's Eve party atmosphere starting at 9:00 PM. The casino opens its doors for the Open Party at 10 PM. As long as supplies last, goulash soup, pumpkin soup, and pretzels will be available for purchase here.
With a colorful mix of pop, new wave, rock, funk, and Neue Deutsche Welle, Back to the 80s will sweep across the stage with powerful rock energy, reviving the musical spirit of the 1980s - shoulder pads included!
After the live concert, there's Forever Disco with DJ Greg Silver. As a native of Mannheim, he has performed as a DJ around the world. He has played in clubs worldwide, including WMC Miami, Webster Hall NYC, Pacha Ibiza, Coco Rico Rimini, Loveparade Berlin, Mayday, and Nature One.

For many, no decade was marked by as much tastelessness and bad taste as the 1980s: shoulder pads, neon leggings, and leather ties are examples that not everyone remembers fondly. Yet, the decade that saw conventions fall, Perestroika rise, and big hair flourish developed a very special soundtrack that brought new energy to nightclubs and stereo systems.
Back to the 80s revives the musical spirit of the 80s. With a colorful mix of pop, new wave, rock, funk, and Neue Deutsche Welle, the six musicians sweep across the stage. Already known from notable formations in the Rhine-Neckar region, they now fulfill the mission of bringing the vibe of the 80s back onto the stage together. Melanie Haag and Sascha Fischer form the vocal front of the group. In the rhythm section, Bernhard Aulbach (bass) and Tom Beisel (drums) deliver the powerful and driving beat that drove millions to the dance floor. Christopher Stumpf contributes the characteristic synthesizer sounds that defined the 80s, while the package is completed by punchy riffs and singing solos from Matthias Klöpsch on guitar.
Back to the 80s presents their program with songs from Kim Wilde, Queen, Spandau Ballet, Eurhythmics, and Tom Schilling in an authentic original sound. Therefore, Back to the 80s is not just any cover band. Back to the 80s is a time machine that transports its audience back to the time of Rubik's cubes, sneakers, and Miami Vice with an exhilarating stage show.
