Description
The collaboration with Peter Buck (Melos Quartet) and the Beaux Arts Trio brought the decisive artistic impulses and unmistakably contributed to the clear and distinctive interpretation style of the ensemble.
The cultivation of the classical-romantic repertoire, including the main works of Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms, is as much of a concern for the musicians as is the constant effort to present lesser-known, sometimes hidden treasures of chamber music literature. Inspired by the ensemble sound, numerous compositions dedicated to and premiered by the TRIO CHALUMEAU have emerged in recent years. In addition to ongoing concert commitments in the Federal Republic, the ensemble has frequently been a guest at international festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Oberstdorf Music Summer, the International Lake Constance Festival, or at Schloss Elmau, the traditional "chamber music mecca." The trio has also received warm acclaim from audiences and press in neighboring European countries and Japan.
