THE SCOTTISH MUSIC PARADE - SCHOTTISCHE MUSIKPARADE
THE SCOTTISH MUSIC PARADE – the original – directly from Edinburgh with Best Of program
Genuine Celtic magic and Scottish joie de vivre - this is what the audience will once again experience when the "THE SCOTTISH MUSIC PARADE" comes to Germany.
Bagpipers, drummers, musicians, singers, and dancers, all flown in directly from Scotland, take the audience on an equally thrilling, exciting, and varied musical journey for one evening. This time, they bring a Best Of program featuring the most well-known and successful titles and arrangements of the last 10 years.
Against the backdrop of a castle with towers and battlements - a replica of a Scottish castle - the artists present ever new facets of Scottish culture. Just before, the impressive sound of the bagpipes and drums filled the hall and captivated the people in the stands, while in the next moment, heartfelt ballads full of longing and vastness create an intoxicating silence in the auditorium.
The participating artists belong to the best that Scotland has to offer. Almost all of the participants regularly take part in the world-famous Edinburgh Tattoo. Among the bagpipers and drummers are many winners of international competitions and world champions on their instruments.
Even the combination of traditional bagpipe playing and modern rock music from Paul McCartney to Coldplay succeeds. For when the guitarists turn it up with their electric guitars and the entire ensemble gradually joins in with their traditional instruments to Paul McCartney's "Mull of Kintyre," Dire Straits' "Going Home," the Eagles anthem "Hotel California," or Simple Minds' "Belfast Child," the goosebump feeling is guaranteed.
In the end, the regiment of drummers brings the hall to a boil with its "drum fireworks."
Esprit and exuberant festive atmosphere are radiated by the cheerful and energetic dances of Scotland. In ever new formations, magnificent costumes, and outfits, the artists take to the stage and inspire each other with their immense joy in music and dance.
When then, in the mist after an original cannon salvo, one of Scotland's unofficial national anthems, such as "Flower Of Scotland" or "Highland Cathedral," sounds, and the bagpipers and drummers in their uniforms pass closely by the audience through the aisles, a real Highland air sweeps through the hall!
