Templeton Pek - Spider Promotion presents:
The British power trio TEMPLETON PEK returns to the music stage with the new single "SAVAGES," a frenetic earworm. The song comes from the upcoming album of the same name, which will be released soon. The band is back and has something to say.
"It has been a long time since we released music, and we didn't want to come back with anything less than the best possible material. 'Savages' is the perfect taste of what to expect from the new album. It’s big, it’s loud, and it doesn’t shy away from saying what it thinks," explained singer/bassist Neal Mitchell.
The song was produced and mixed by George Perks (Enter Shikari, Skindred) at Vada Studios in their hometown of Birmingham, and was mastered by Andy "Hippy" Baldwin (Oasis, The Who) at the legendary Metropolis Studios in London, UK.
"Savages" explores the complexity of human nature and was written from two different perspectives, the left and right sides of the political spectrum, reacting to global political events, with each side proclaiming either "Break out the guns!" or "Move with the times!" A reflection on human nature as a whole: "Is this the best we have to offer? ... Surely, we are more than savages!"
The Birmingham-based band Templeton Pek is an experienced touring band. They have already toured with The Offspring, Rise Against, Bad Religion, Sum 41, NOFX, Alkaline Trio, Lagwagon, Millencolin, Zebrahead, Ignite, Pennywise, and many others across Europe and the UK, including performances at festivals such as Punk Rock Holiday (sl), Slam Dunk (uk), Jera On Air (nl), Brakrock (bel), Mighty Sounds (cz), Rebellion (uk), Open Flair (de), Monster Bash (de), Taubertal (de), and others.
The year 2024 began with a successful tour through the UK with Hell is for Heroes, culminating in a sold-out Electric Ballroom in London. With the songs "Perfect Storm" and "Savages" gaining traction on radio and streaming platforms like Apple Music's Hard Rock playlist and Kerrang! Daytime, the band is working towards a release that is set to be their biggest yet.
