At the center of Liquid Soul's concerts is the water-stick organ, a musical and instrumental novelty.
In concerts, Liquid Soul combines the water-stick organ with saxophone and the Chinese mouth organ Sheng. Additional instruments such as Aquarion (glass marimba), Hang (handpan), and cajón enrich predominantly their own compositions.
Audiences can experience multi-layered soundscapes, complex rhythmic patterns, lively dialogues, and improvisations. The resulting new sound world reflects the various cultural influences that inspired Gert Anklam and Beate Gatscha during study and work stays at home and abroad.
Liquid Soul plays with the elements of air & water and takes their audience into their very own water sound world.
Beate Gatscha: water-stick organ, Aquarion, Hang, voice
Gert Anklam: saxophone, Sheng, water-stick organ, Aquarion, among others.
