On this special afternoon, we embark together on a small journey to old, nearly forgotten words. In a relaxed atmosphere, we bring them back to life with our own handwriting – accompanied and inspired by the Berlin calligrapher Almut Witt, who has been teaching with great passion for many years.

A harmless situation, one might think. But a shared crossword puzzle becomes the starting point for an exchange that is as witty as it is profound.

However timidly the conversation between the two begins, it becomes increasingly relaxed, intense, and personal.
They joke, but also dissect and hinder each other, facades crumble, and allow insights into enigmatic depths.

There are always phases in life when one wants to pause. Where am I? Where do I come from? Where do I want to go? Writing brings focus. And even those who only write occasionally or not at all are warmly welcome in this workshop. Those who start to write begin to tell stories and make discoveries, not least about themselves. The course creates a framework for conversation and appreciation of this exciting process. Of course, it also involves the technical aspects of writing. What does perspective mean? How does a character become more vivid? We experiment with different forms and marvel at the small text or even just the beautiful word that delights us. In this process, aspects of Life-Script® biographical work according to Liane Dirks are integrated. All in a respectful atmosphere that we create together. Course leader Anja Hirsch is an author, journalist, literary scholar, and Life-Script® coach. She presented her novel "Was von Dora blieb" in Bad Mergentheim in 2021.

Workshop: "Stich für Stich" - Kreativ Reparieren von Textilien mit Birgit Paschke

In the workshop "Stich für Stich," the focus is on the creative repair of textiles. In the spirit of the Japanese Mottainai philosophy, which encourages not wasting anything, it will be shown how worn-out clothing – such as an old pair of jeans or a beloved T-shirt – can be enhanced with needle and thread. The foundation is the traditional Sashiko technique, a hand-sewn darning and stitching method that is based on simple preliminary stitches and allows for both functional repairs and decorative embellishments.

Participants will work on their own brought textiles and develop individual designs that transform signs of wear into artistic elements. No prior knowledge is required; the focus is on enjoying independent repairs, a mindful approach to materials, and a decelerated, meditative way of working. The workshop invites participants to rediscover the value of clothing and to contribute consciously to sustainable consumer behavior.

Various fabric patches, needles, threads, and scissors will be available.
