LENA&LINUS - Indi(e)stinction Festival
One thing is certain: The encounter between LENA&LINUS is cosmic. Whether it can be attributed to the stars or the magic of the internet remains up to each person who knows the indie duo. What began as a random contact evolved, with the groundbreaking idea of producer Tim Tautorat, into a duo that not only writes songs but also shares a deep connection and captures the emotional state of their generation with a keen sense for melodies.
In 2022, "Emilie" is released as a big bang single, the first EP "Fühlst du dich allein" lands in March '23, and support slots for Ok Kid, Mayberg, Betterov, or JEREMIAS follow. LENA&LINUS sell out their first headliner tour and find themselves on numerous prestigious festival bills. In September '23, EP #2 "Sekundenschlaf" is released, and in 2024, the second tour follows: with a band on stage and a lust for life, LENA&LINUS play sets that are both powerful and tender. Finally, 2025 peaks for LENA&LINUS, as their long-awaited debut album "Wir verglühen" is released in March!
The songs on it serve as a coming-of-age soundtrack that plays out somewhere between the melancholic vastness of the universe, intimate moments of everyday life, longing nostalgia, and youthful yearnings. LENA&LINUS' songs are honest, direct, and carry the weight and lightness of the growing pains of youth. "Our songs are written just as we would say them," the duo emphasizes, and you can feel that. Each individual LENA&LINUS song is a familiar dialogue between two friends who confide their innermost thoughts and secrets to each other. And that's exactly how their songs come to be: together, intimately, in a shared living room.
It is therefore no surprise that "Wir verglühen" sounds like snapshots from self-talks and friendship dialogues in which one reflects together on past adventures, lost moments, and the search for identity. Thoughtful lyrics alternate with euphoric melodies—managing to make tangible the elusive process of growing up that everyone goes through, but only a few can describe.
