Frauen. Geschichten auf die Bühne - Premiere
Direction: Angelika Wagner
Following the success of "Frauen. Biografien auf die Bühne," the theater club embarks on a new round with this production. "Frauen. Geschichten auf die Bühne" is a scenic collage featuring seven actresses and two actors, exploring the question of what it means to be a woman – then and now. The starting point is the question of what is touching, fascinating, and interesting about women and their stories. The play forms a bridge from very personal experiences – the feeling of being both "too much" and "too little," being evaluated, and the longing to break free from it – to bodies in change, aging, and the question of what place women have in this society.
It focuses on women as heroines in everyday life: on the many levels that are often carried simultaneously – personal development, children, work – and the habit of thinking for others. Through voices, images, music, and movement, stories of women – past and present – emerge. It deals with what is passed down through generations, and what can finally be shed. About wishes and needs, about dreams – fulfilled and unfulfilled – and about experiences, including those that should never have happened. A piece that touches, makes you laugh, prompts reflection, and leaves a lasting echo.
The premiere takes place as part of International Women's Day in March, in cooperation with the Equal Opportunities Officer of the City of Friedrichshafen, the Media House by the Lake, and the Lake Constance Library in the City Archive.
The production will also be shown at the Theatertage am See (March 27-29).
