Angela Ascher discusses the roles that time, money, friendships, humor, empathy, emancipation, love, honesty, and more play in her first stage program "Verdammt, ich lieb‘ mich." with brutal honesty to herself and her audience.
In "Verdammt, ich lieb‘ mich.", the true Bavarian showcases her comedic talent and love for the stage in expressive and passionate stand-up sequences, convincingly delivering charming comedy in all its facets: stereotypes are played, shattered, exaggerated, finely observed, and dissected with humor. Confidently and with plenty of irony, Angela categorizes topics in her own unique way, not shying away from dishing out some harsh truths every now and then. Because Angela Ascher doesn't mince her words, even when discussing somewhat spicy topics like sex toys in the wrong hands, mental techniques for keeping long-term relationships fresh, idealizing one's sex life in front of friends, and the question of whether one would rather just sleep with themselves to never stoop below their own standards. "Verdammt, ich lieb‘ mich." is a top-notch comedy program with explosive punchlines and loving sarcasm. Angela Ascher received her artistic education at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg. The experienced film and theater actress has appeared in notable German TV productions – including Tatort, Rosenheim Cops, Über Land, Die Erfindung Bayerns, Oktoberfest 1900, Der Watzmann ruft, 3 Frauen 1 Auto, and more. In BR Fernsehen, she is the lead actress of the successful BR Sketch-Comedy series Fraueng’schichten, which garnered excitement in and beyond Bayern over 3 seasons. Angela Ascher's appearances at the traditional annual Derbleckenam Münchner Nockherberg are legendary, where she achieved great success for several years portraying the politician Ilse Aigner. As a theater actress, Angela Ascher has performed at renowned venues such as the Thalia Theater and the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, Theater Oberhausen, and the Schauspielhaus Wien.
