It is a world that remains hidden from most people: The renowned 3D photographer Stephan Schulz takes the audience on this gripping journey beneath the water's surface to the most exciting diving destinations in the world. In humorous tales, Schulz describes his beginnings in the quarries of Saxony, diving safaris in the Red Sea, and his first major goal: the legendary Cocos Island in the East Pacific. Schools of hammerhead sharks, rays, and other large fish make this diving spot a "shark-light" for every underwater photographer. 
It was an unforgettable experience for Stephan Schulz when he suddenly found himself in a pack of hunting white-tipped reef sharks during a night dive. This event takes place thanks to 3D technology right in the lecture hall.
Various other diving trips followed (including Palau and Galapagos) before he dedicated himself to a very big project: documenting the most fascinating above and underwater worlds of the African continent. Experience in this lecture the colorful underwater worlds of Lake Tanganyika and Lake Malawi or the South African Wild Coast with its Sardine Run - the most spectacular animal event on the continent! Every year in the South African winter, gigantic schools of sardines travel along South Africa's eastern coast, attracting a huge armada of predators with sharks, dolphins, and cape fur seals.
After Stephan Schulz had already thoroughly "let loose" in the warm waters of this world, he was drawn to the cold water regions. He snorkeled with seals and walruses, experienced the clearest water in the world with a visibility of 120m, and dove a spectacular underwater chimney found only in the deep sea. He rode a dog sled over a frozen Greenlandic fjord to photograph icebergs frozen in -3 degree water. After so much "refreshment," he sought the next challenge in warmer climates: In Mexico, he literally dove into the underworld of the Mayans - the crystal-clear cenotes. A surreal underground world with stalactites, light plays, and fossil skeletons. Accessible only with a healthy dose of respect for this very demanding type of diving.
